Anya Hotel Quy Nhon

The hotel is located right at the city center, easy to travel to beach cafe, restaurants, bar. The room is modernly furnished though there’s not much to say about the view. Food quality and service is okay. There is only one thing I’m not satisfied - check-in procedure. The staff appeared unfamiliar with the Hotels.com booking number so she requested me to call the Hotels.com hotline I tried to contact Hotels.com hotline but given it did not have a local hotline in Vietnam, I need to wait for around 45 mins to finally figure out the rooms I booked by searching the names. However, the stay was overall good.

My first impression when entering the lobby feel a bit cold, no decoration to make us feel welcome. And only receptionist, there is no bellboy or guard. Understandable that the hotel is just opening after pandemic break. Room is decorated with simple minimalist furniture and modern accessories. Breakfast is just ok, mixed between Vietnamese and a bit Western food. For the price in low season is good.

So, I came while the weather was poor although Google said late December is dry season. Google was wrong. The hotel is nice however the pillows are god awful soft. The worst kind. I asked for extra pillows and they don't help. The one thing they forget to mention when booking is the construction happening right next door. It's bad. The man at breakfast told me there's only 15 people staying at the hotel he thinks, due to covid, but I think, because of the construction! Giving the hotel 3 stars because of the no warning ahead of time about the construction. And the pillows. 😑

We had a good stay however checking in was difficult and we had to wait for 3 hours to get our room. We arrived at the hotel at 1pm

Me and my family spent 2 nights at Anya. It was a great experience. The room was very clean, modern and the hotel was near the beach. Nice swimming pool and bar. We love the welcome drink. Special thanks to Ms. Lệ, bellman team and our driver (Mr. Từ). Ms. Lệ was very charming and supportive. With dedication, she gave detailed advices and helped our family to plan a wonderful holiday in Quy Nhon. Anya was a 4 star hotel, but we received 5 star service and hospitality from Ms. Lệ and her team!

We spent 3 days at the Anya hotel. The staff here try their best to be helpful and they are all very friendly but sometimes things are lost in translation. The rooms are nice but it’s unfortunate there is a lot of construction work happening at the moment which really meant we didn’t spend any time at the pool. For the size of the hotel the pool area is small and completely taken over by very loud families as soon as the sun loses any strength. Breakfast is pretty good and food off the menu is also nice, drinks are reasonably priced. The Anya is a mid range hotel in a good location for Quy Nhon town and Bai Xep beach. We were out most of the day to visit all the beaches in the area so as a place to lay the head the Anya is just fine.

4 star hotel in center of lovely seaside Quy Nhon City. The hotel is modern and new. Only 3 lifts so you may have to wait during rush hours. Breakfast are both Vietnamese and Western style. Check in Staff need to be trained a bit in terms of attitude. Maybe it is because of too many guest so they are abit overloaded

Good things: Public areas are nice, the coffee is good, and the AC works. Things to improve for Anya Hotel & Spa 1. Housekeeping needs training: One out of two bottles of water was already opened. Floor not clean. Aluminium covers of amenities on the floor, hairs here and there. Room smelled of smoke/somebody partied a bit too hard and had a date with the bathroom. The room needs some air refreshers and staff needs to open the windows to air the room out. 2. The check-in was a nightmare. Booking code not found, reception looked at me like I was an idiot and was asking if I actually made a booking. I was then sent to the other Anya in town, which is close by. Same problem. I was then sent back to the previous property.. and they finally found my booking. Took about an hour of moving around.. They were so convinced it was my fault that I started wondering if I actually did make a mistake. 3. After a long night I was woken up by a loud conversation between housekeeping staff around 6AM, with the emphasis on loud. Could have also been guests, but I wouldn’t know why guests would stand in a hallway screaming at each other for 10 minutes. At this point I was up and figured it’s time for a shower. 4. Water pressure is very bad. Took ages for hot water to come out and I ended up having a cold shower. Only then to be scorched by a sudden blast of hot water. It then quickly went cold again. Then gradually became warmer. Once warmer the water pressure managed to become even less. I left the shower slightly defeated. The shower won.
