Kenny and Komaki are perfect hosts, they will make you feel at home and give you all the love in the world. Is a quiet place, spacious and clean room and delicious breakfast made with their products awaits you in the morning. They will also give you lots of good advice on where to go and what to do. Wonderful hosts and comfortable accommodation

Everything exceeded our expectations at Akachichi Guest House. Kenny and Komaki put so much thought into everything to help us feel at home and get a real flavour of beautiful Okinawa; from the books in the room, to the recommendations they had put together and the sweet Okinawan teas in the fridge. Nestled in a quiet little side street, Akachichi is within walking distance of many beaches Okinawa has to offer, and it has serene and peaceful surroundings. The room is so comfortable, clean and spacious - it felt like a home away from home. Kenny and Komaki were such warm and generous hosts who went above and beyond in every way. Nothing was too much for them and we felt so looked after. It made my morning to see Komaki bring us fresh, healthy and stunning breakfasts on the terrace each day (and on Sunday, a gorgeous packed-up food we took down to the beach). This is not just another place to stay - unlike a big hotel with a functional check-in and soul-less buffet, Akachichi Guesthouse really helps you immerse into the culture, meet some wonderful people and leave your troubles at the doorstep. We travelled the whole of Japan for 3 weeks and this was the most memorable and inspiring stay that we will cherish forever. We are so motivated to learn about Okinawa even more after this. Kenny and Komaki, thank you! We will hopefully be back again.

A very clean, comfortable, quiet accommodation with a local vibe. Hosts were lovely people. They served a beautiful Japanese style breakfast (with a Okinawan twist!) each morning, including a great cup of coffee. Wide range of restaurants and a few grocery stores within walking distance. Several secluded beaches that are fantastic for snorkeling, swimming and tide pooling are within walking distance. Walk to the bus route to Naha/ Kadena area and north island. Taxi coverage in the area. A perfect place for our 5 night stay.

No I’m completely obsessed. Everything perfect, the owners are so ridiculously nice. It’s so cozy and lovely. It rained most of the time we were there and it was still amazing. Like let this be the one place you stay on the big island. Perfect location for beach/snorkeling access. Breakfast on terrace is so peaceful and lovely. We basically planned our Okinawa trip around this stay and it was an amazing decision.

Absolutely nothing favorite place I’ve ever stayed

Very homely guesthouse at Cape Maeda area (which unfortunately we did not have time to visit). Breakfast is served on the terrace, except Sunday which is packed. Anyway it is delicious. There is also a loft which I think can sleep a third person. Room is very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. The hosts are also very helpful!

It is so nice to have your own place with everything you need. An excellent place with the kindest hosts you can wish. Kenny picked us at the busstop with his car. He showed us around in the vollage and all the points of interest. Restaurants, beaches the shop! Also good tips for diving, snorkling and daytrips. Komaki and Kenny made us the best breakfast! Each morning an different but o so tasteful "Okinawa" breakfast! Diet wishes were not a problem. Best breakfast on our holiday. The room is big and everything you need is available. Akachichi guesthouse is highly recommended by us!
