Staff were unhelpful and unfriendly. No welcome, no help with bags. Room was very disappointing, basic and not so clean. The don’t give you fresh towels of make up your room while you are staying. Food is served like a works canteen. Simple plain dishes. Nothing special.
MYThe boat ride, the scenery was superb! I was lucky to spot Mount Kinabalu due to the cloudy weather forecast. The buffet dinner was so good, a big portion and an environmentally conscious business! Love the idea, hope to see more places like this.
It's not the property responsibilities since the main business is water recreation, I guess. Nevertheless, I hope there will be a clear map (doesn't have to be precise, just a marking or a simple map with signage, etc.) of the nearby hiking trails provided as well. As previously mentioned on their website/booking platform, the place also suggested some jungle trekking activities.
DEWir waren eine Nacht im Bigfin Resort und es ist wirklich ein toller Ort. Schon die Lage macht es zu etwas Besonderem. Die Aussicht auf den Mount Kinabalu ist spektakulär. Die An- und Abreise mit dem Boot liefen reibungslos.
Wir wurden sehr unfreundlich vom Inhaber empfangen. Er ratterte alle Informationen wie einstudiert herunter. Zeischenfragen wurden ignoriert. Es gab mehrere Situationen, in denen sich der Inhaber unprofessionell verhielt. Ob es um Eischränkungen bei der Ernährung, Fragen zur Umgebung oder Wünsche beim Frühstück ging, er reagierte immer gelangweilt und wenig kooperativ. Hoffentlich lernt er noch etwas im Thema Gastfreundschaft dazu.

Food wasn’t a lot sometimes, the guy who cooked asked us to just take some food first, and only after everyone had eaten their part, we could get a second one.
DEFRNous sommes restés deux nuits à BigFin et ce fut une parenthèse hors du temps. Quelques cabanes perchées sur les hauteurs d’une colline complètement isolée, d’où vous pouvez admirer la mer, vous reposer sur un hamac ou descendre dans l’espace commun pour profiter des repas (déjeuner et dîner inclus). Nous ne plongeons pas mais nous avons fait du kayak et du paddle. Il y aussi des jeux de société à disposition. J’ai beaucoup aimé le fait qu’il n’y ait pas de wifi à BigFin (sauf dans l’espace commun). Le lieu et notamment son « jardin » est très bien entretenu avec de magnifiques fleurs, arbres etc. Parfait pour se reposer dans un cadre idyllique et familial, au rythme du soleil et de la mer
nous avons eu qq grosses averses lorsque nous y étions mais ça ne nous a pas dérangé, un bon livre a l’espace commun et l’occasion de vraiment se reposer.
