Good location in York

Hotel was undergoing renovation which is totally unacceptable for the price we paid. There was no guest lounge which we expect from a 4 star hotel. Breakfast offerings could have been better. Our room had the smallest dated bathroom we have ever seen. Shower over the bath with a shower curtain - really poor show for a 4 star Hilton. Basin tap was so close to edge of basin that it was impossible to use it without water going all over the counter. No amenities like shower cap, etc . Shower gel ran out on second day. Tissues were not replenished. Poor housekeeping. The couch was made up in our room for whatever reason as we did not request it, resulting in lack of space . I had to ask the housekeeping staff member to close the couch on our second day there.
