Hotel Misión Guanajuato

A beautiful hotel with very friendly staff. Location was quiet and easy to find. The restaurant food and breakfast buffet was very good.

If you are looking to stay at a hotel that has a lot of history then this is the place. It is right next door to a beautiful old ex hacienda. The beds were comfortable but the carpet in the room definitely needed to be cleaned or taken out. The bathroom needs to be updated as it is in poor condition. The restaurant was nice and food was ok. It’s a colonial hotel so you need to remember that during your stay.

WiFi did not work!! Noise by the pool kept us awake through early morning.

Hotel was ok in general. Tool some time to make the line in the morning for breakfast thought.

Misión Guanajuato is a beautiful property that has great potential to be a nice place to stay, but during our visit we experienced too many small issues (and one big one) to be able to recommend it. It took 40 minutes to check in (it took awhile to find out booking, and our room wasn't ready at the listed check-in time). When finally guided to our suite by a friendly porter, our room looked lovely, was comfortable and clean. The Wi-Fi was down and was never fixed - not a big deal, it happens. Halfway through the night, a smell of sewer came from the bathroom and penetrated the room - I checked and there were no visible issues, but the smell was strong. We shut the door for the night, refrained from showering, and reported the issue at check out. The desk clerk was unfazed and just handed us a review form so we could submit a written comment - it appeared this was not surprising news to him. We had hoped to eat breakfast before departing, but the restaurant that was supposed to open at 7:00 hadn't even turned on their lights by 7:20; we departed before they eventually opened. Hopefully the plumbing issue was contained to our room and will be addressed. The other issues were small and only bothersome as they accumulated. The nice location, parking and property features are great; hopefully management will resolve other issues and not rent out rooms with unresolved plumbing issues.

The service was amazing, there was nothing we asked for that was too much for them. The food was great. Would definitely recommend and also would return.

It's not convenient. The most staff don't speak English.

Nice facilities and very spacious rooms, unfortunately very noise due to the time of corridors and drunk guests. The buffet needs to be improved in general is good but the bread was hard as a rook.

We were waiting for 1 hour after realizing that it will not open they move us to a suite for the night. That was a great resolution from management.
