Hotel Misión Guanajuato

We received excellent customer service. The staff is very attentive. I recommend the tours from the Hotel vs the ones outside of town. The taxi rides vary for 70 pesos to 50 pesos. The taxis from the hotel are newer cars and very reliable. The town is not far from the hotel and its in a quieter setting not as noisy or busy like downtown Guanajuato. Great trip.

Nice hotel. Good for a weekend

Bathrooms need updating. The carpets in our rooms were pretty old and seemed to greet us with a mildew smell. Overall value for money this was still a good deal but rooms could definitely use some updating. We ate in the restaurant a number of times and they have great food. Breakfast buffet is fantastic. At 175 pesos per person we should have bought it in to the room fare...great value there. Property as a whole is very cool and unique...one of a kind.

The hotel was good but the staff was very short and unfriendly. Only the ladies that clean the rooms were friendly. It was comfortable but it didn't had an elevator so I wasn't too happy to carry all my luggage up and down three levels.

Very nice area but staff not very friendly. No iron available, no gym, restaurant not willing to accommodate menu for my child with special needs.

Very good hotel and sercice from staff, not expensive and very comfortable. Very close to downtown and accessible to the most tourist places.

The room is very austere . . . also the Air conditioner is not enough capacity to reduce the temperature is always working. The towels are not enough only 2 bath towels , one hand towel and one face towel and look very old and discolored. The bath soaps and shampoo are not enough, only one of each one. It's not iron in the room and when I requested it, they not had any available . . . I never got one. My room was in the 5 floor, they have elevator from the 3rd floor to the 5th floor and we need to take to many step on the stairway.

Gloria at the front desk was very nice and polite every time I would stop at the front desk to reactivate my keys or ask for a taxi or directions, etc. Very nice lady with excellent service skills. In the other hand, the restaurant has a lot to improve. The waiters are nice staff, however, when getting to the restaurant it will take around 15 minutes for someone to ask if you needed coffee or anything. After ordering coffee, it will take them another 20 minutes to serve it and by that time they will bring the menu. Another 20 minutes for the waiter to show up and take your order and another 30-40 minutes for the breakfast to be served at your table. Breakfast is good and the waiting time is just unacceptable. After my 2nd day I just decided to have breakfast in the downtown area. Try them again on my last day & 6th day and again the same issue, plus they brought the wrong order. I was so furious that I just cancelled my order and walk away! Whoever is the General Manager, please this needs to improve big time. I have been working for hotels for 20 years as Dir of Sales in the USA and have traveled to Mexico and this is the worst experience I have ever had. Please fix it as you will get better reviews.

The hotel was in a good location, clean and the personnel were very helpful and polite. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the service was exellent. There is a beautiful museum across the street that you must visit, the gardens in the museum are breath taking. Overall I would recommend this hotel with no doubt.
