Fiesta Americana Cozumel All Inclusive

We stayed at the Explorean just behind the fiesta Americana but enjoyed the restaurants of Fiesta. Some of the staff remembers us from year to year (Daniel in the restaurant). Juan Carlos Gonzalez was very helpful and responsive when we needed anything. We love the vibe and the service. We love the coffee delivered to the rooms in the morning. We just keep coming back.

Room not very clean. Weak current in the bathtub. There is not much choice at breakfast and for dinner you need to book a place in one of the restaurants in advance.

Family of 5! 2 adults & kids ages 22, 14 & 14 This is a very small resort, but it is very nice and extremely well maintained. It was very safe and trustworthy- that was most important! The staff does a great job keeping everything clean, and we truly did enjoy our time there. Unfortunately, during the week of our stay, the port in Cozumel was closed for four days due to weather, which really limited what we were able to do. We had to reschedule both our fishing and catamaran excursions multiple times, which was frustrating. We were especially disappointed with the fishing excursion. After rescheduling it four different times, we ended up not catching a single fish. It turned into a very expensive four-hour boat ride, which was not the experience we were hoping for. The food was fairly good, but not the best we’ve had at an all-inclusive resort. There are three main restaurants—Oriental, Mexican, and Italian. Since we stayed for a week, we ended up repeating each sit-down restaurant twice for dinner, which was totally acceptable. Reservations were also fairly easy to make, which was a plus. While we did enjoy the resort for what it offered, it wasn’t the best vacation we’ve had at a Fiesta Americana. The nightly entertainment was limited to about an hour in the lobby, which is a smaller space. There also wasn’t much in terms of kids’ entertainment. Thankfully, our children are teenagers, so they were able to relax and keep themselves occupied while we were confined to the resort. Would have been nice to have “crazy” games or active mid day entertainment! The perk of the smaller resort is there was no wait time for an elevator and again we felt very safe. It is approximately $15-$20 to get into downtown for shopping in about the same price coming back based on how many people you have. It is convenient. That taxis are easy and accessible at the resort in the front. The airport ride there and back was very convenient and not a long wait at TSA. We loved having Miguel at the pool, he was an incredible waiter! The ocean, front beds and cabanas were usually taken early in the morning. Pool chairs were not that difficult to get, but of course you have the same people that I’m sure put towels on chairs and don’t even use them throughout the day. But really our vacation was great and relaxing so don’t hesitate to check out this resort!

Fabulous hotel. Nice quiet vibe with exceptional service. The daily excursions were awesome and our personal concierge, J.C. was beyond helpful. Restaurants were all great, and the nightly shows were entertaining. Snorkeling right in front of the hotel was terrific!

I just returned from The Explorean with a group of 8. We had a fabulous time. The food was excellent and the service was excellent. Our concierge Juan Carlos (CS) was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed and wanted. We were able to dine together everyday and there was always seats and shade available at the beach for everyone. We never heard the word NO on anything we requested. We stayed at The Explorean which is behind the Fiesta Americana and we were able to use both resort amenities. It really is a gem with the nicest staff. Although not a sandy beach, the snorkeling off the shore and the included excursions made up for it. Stephanie

Our room suite was comfortable with a great view from 6th floor. Food was good. Missed having the nightly buffet as an option but Asian was our favorite at night. Couldn’t go wrong in the afternoon for eating options. Fish tacos were fantastic. The staff was great! We were greeted most days by Alejandra who was pleasant and friendly. We enjoyed her since of humor throughout the day when passing. Selene was very accommodating for our morning breakfast. Miguel was fantastic and attentive around the pool area. Angel provided great service all the places he worked for the day. The pool entertainment staff worked hard for guests to engage but didn’t bother you if not interested. We had so much fun playing volleyball in the pool on an unexpected rainy day. Our only complaint was the main pool turned very cloudy and un inviting the last 3 day at the end of our 10 night stay. We then choose the lap pool down by the ocean which worked fine but did have the best service due to not even staff to take care of such a wide area. This is a small resort which we would come to again. Nice experience over all.
