The Hackett Hotel

Our stay at The Hackett was wonderful. The room was clean and the bathroom was very up to date. We had a little issue with the heater on the second night. It got very warm in the room. Other than that, we were very happy.

The room was excellent! BUT I knew before hand that there was not an elevator, but was not prepared for 40 steps! Over 70 this was a major issue! No front desk or emergency contact, we lost half of our electric, had no one to report it too!

Rooms were clean. The bed was crazy comfortable. Bathroom spacious.

The Riley room was beautiful! I wish that I had more time to enjoy it!

Extra clean. Awesome staff. Historic building close to everything. Food was excellent in the attached restaurant/bar.

Charming boutique hotel in historic building in downtown Marietta, reasonable rates, close to restaurants and bars. Only drawback is rooms are reached by 2 long flights of steep stairs. Not handicap accessible. Otherwise wonderful place.

The Riley Suite is beautiful, comfortable, and bright. It was very quiet - although we were not there on a weekend night. All of the rooms are on the third floor, and it is a long steep climb up the steps to access the rooms. We were aware of this from other reviews, so we packed accordingly. As others have mentioned, the breakfast is very basic. Here are some suggestions that I would make if the hotel continues this basic breakfast. Include some fresh or frozen bagels with butter and cream cheese, have other oatmeal flavors in addition to brown sugar, have milk for the cereal, be sure to replenish the half and half, have an electric kettle for boiling water.

Hotel room was double booked and we didn’t actually get to stay. Bartender took us up to the room, but noticed clothing on bed of the room. She stopped on the second floor to get her manager who was another young girl. Manager offered us drinks, had no room to offer us as there was a summer concert going on. Said something about their computer system was a little crazy around 4 pm. which is probably about the time I made the booking. We would love to get to check out the Hackett! We paid through hotels.com, but three weeks later we are STILL waiting on a refund.

Excellent hotel in a great location! Staff were warm and accommodating. Antique vibe with modern conveniences. High quality bedding and towels. Steep stairs to rooms may pose a challenge for some guests.
