Residence Inn by Marriott Scranton

I was “upgraded” upon arrival to room 203 since they had no king beds available. I was told the room was bigger but the bed was smaller. I had stayed at this hotel two times prior and was looking forward to a king bed but I was too tired so just took the “upgrade”. Upon getting to my room I found the tv was broken with a little piece of paper that was taped to it saying it was out of order. The smaller sized bed was so lumpy, soft and broken in I was literally sinking in the middle. I’m sad because I have always loved my stays at this hotel and location but I might look else where next time as my experience was not the same as previous stays.

Spacious rooms, comfortable bed, nice kitchen area.

You have to have a membership (although free to join) to use WiFi. It was kind of inconvenient when we were there for only one night.

Nice, quiet stay and helpful front desk staff

Why have I not stayed at Residence Inn more often?? Huge room, comfortable bed, many little extras for the traveler. This is my new stop in Scranton.

Heat wasn’t working, but I was given a space heater and all was fine.

Liked the fellow at the front desk, very polite and helpful. Really had his act together.

Excellent property

I really enjoyed my stay here. It was very comfortable. I did not feel as though I was in a hotel. It felt like a studio apartment. I will be back.
