Red House By The River

This property is situated on the Porto side, but in walking distance to the Gaia side. It is in walking distance to many attractions, and a quick Uber drive. Hostess was amazing. Very quick to respond to inquiries. Unit is spectacular, updated, and clean as a whistle. Beautiful view of Douro River. Windows are sound proof. Rosa is an incredible host and was filled with info for site seeing. She made us feel very comfortable, and we felt like she was an old friend. Would definitely come back and recommend! 5 Star!

The apartment is in a perfect location with amazing views! Although it is a busy area, we never heard noise when the windows were closed. Our neighbors were very quiet.

Location, cleaningness and facilities are great

This charming apartment was very spacious, well equipped and was in a perfect location on the river. We were grateful to have the Red House to come home to after a long day of sightseeing. The washing machine was also a bonus! Rosa, our host, was extremely helpful and met us to show us around the apartment and offer advice for things to do in the area including arranging tours.

Clean, great location, very nice and beutyfully decorated apartment

Great location. Good windows ensure you don’t hear street noise, which is great.

A few maintenance issues with washing machine and hot water. Rosa was very responsive which reduced the inconvenience. Steep stairs, just be sure you are able to climb stairs.

Great location and very helpful owner

At no fault of the owner or the property, the power went out for a few hours. Rosa was incredibly attentive to the problem and quickly had workers there to reconnect the power.

Very nice, clean appartment furnished with good taste, assuring full comfort. Great wiew from the windows + a cosy small terrace behind, the building, with calming sound of cooling spring water. Situated at the level of the river, it is easy to cross to Gaia's wine cellars. For getting to the city center, one has to climb up stairs (or take the funicular or bus, with stop at 50 m.) Very kind owner, keen to give good advises for the journey. I can only recommend it to everybody.

The location was convenient, basically close to major attractions by Taxi (Bolt, Uber). Perfect view of Luís I Bridge, Mosteiro da Serra do Pilar and the Douro river. The host was very caring and did guided us during the check in, recommended some quick insights about Porto.
