Close to town, hotel and rooms are very clean

The location is close to the bus stop and the Ibis Syles Hotel St Andrews Square. The service was not great nor was the food. Two of us had the fish sandwich special which consisted of two very small pieces of tasteless fish on a large and dry bun. The atmosphere was not pleasant. This restaurant is not worth the money.

An old building but lack of elevator made it more difficult.

Excellent breakfast. Good shower and generous room

Toiletries were minimal. Could have done with some moisturiser. Decor although interesting was rather gloomy when the building opposite was a hotel so couldn’t leave blinds open. Lovely in restaurant.

Excellent location, great staff who were super helpful. They also provided a complimentary coffee and croissant in the morning and allowed an extra 30 minutes for check out.

No slippers, had to ask for them. Limited menu. Room felt a little less luxurious than I expected and the lighting was really poor. However there were many lights around the room.

Nice boutique hotel in a not too crowded area. Room and bathroom were large by European standards and very clean. Front desk staff were helpful and kind. Would stay here again.

This was our second visit, this time with friends for Sunday lunch. Chez Mal is a wonderfully calm, relaxed and tastefully decorated setting to enjoy good company and excellent food. The menu provides excellent value for money (whether you have one of their extensively marketed vouchers or not!). The food is high quality, tasty and well presented. If I have any criticism, it’s that the food could be warmer, or plates slightly hotter. Our waiters (yes, waiters and waitresses, not servers-bloody awful term) were excellent: polite, attentive and friendly, without hovering over us like an unwanted summer midge. We’d single out Fraser and John in particular. It’s unfortunate we didn’t get the girl’s name, I think possibly Katya (she was the only girl on duty) We didn’t review our last visit, but if afternoon tea is your thing, we’ve done it across the country, and this surpasses most, and is on a par with the best. Do yourself a favour and give it a try.

Sehr zentrale Lage, sehr freundliches Personal, gutes Essen und einmaliges Hotel. Ausgefallenes und ansprechendes Konzept!

Frühstück hat ein gutes System mit A La Carte Bestellung, trotzdem wäre etwas mehr Continental Auswahl schön.
