"A great experience"

10.0

We stayed at the Auberge Knowlton in early November and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this quaint hotel. We arrived after 5 pm and made our way upstairs (the hotel is above the Le Relais restaurant and a boutique) to find a welcome letter together with our room key. As we entered our Junior Suite, there was a charming living room with sofa, TV, small fridge and wardrobe. The washroom had everything we needed and the bedroom was down a small hallway. The queen size bed was very comfortable. Coffee is readily available in a central area. We had no issues walking the 20 feet to the lovely dining/games/sitting room to make a coffee or two. The hotel is centrally located with loads of choices for cafes, book stores, restaurants. If youโ€™re a fan of Louise Pennyโ€™s books, Cafรฉ Three Pines and Brome Lake Books is right around the corner. But, donโ€™t just go there, this is a lovely community worthy of a stroll or two. Parking is free and there are two level 2 chargers. We'd stay there again.

"Beautiful historic Inn with a great location."

7.0

The hotel is so old, historic and unique. The decor is lovely. Beds were comfortable. The bathroom had everything we needed.

The restaurant in the auberge doesn't open for breakfast. We walked around the corner to 3 Pines Cafe for superb coffee and fresh croissants. The hotel is on the second floor with no elevator and the steps are quite steep. There is no concierge service so be aware when packing. It is on the crossroads with traffic 24 hours. It was noisy at certain times of the day.

"Pass on this one"

4.0

Small room. Uncomfortable bed. Steep stairs. Self check-in. No breakfast available on site. Le Relais is only open for lunch and dinner. On the whole, it was hard to get breakfast before 0900 unless one drove to Tim Horton's. Convenient location for Louise Penny fans.

"As long as you are not looking for big city modern conveniences and appreciate old school style this quaint country styl"

The location was excellent, center of town. Quaint historic property. Free parking.

2nd floor reception with no elevator made it difficult for one of our guests with mobility issues.
