Isafjordur Hostel

excellent location, good staff

when you are looking to book this property be extra careful because they are really tricky on the fact that "sheets is extra" 25 euros in fact. First of all it was not the sheets it was the duvet that was extra. When you book a twin room in a hotel or hostel the minimum expectation you have is that it will have 2 beds, sheets, duvet and pillow but in this case..... no It is Booking.com fault in part for not highlighting it or making it extra clear things like this should be highlighted as most hotels/ hostels have it by default and you dont think much about it. The hostel from their side send a long message (after the refundable date is past) explaining the situation with the sheets because as mentioned earlier Booking does a terrible job at making it clear but at that point not much you can do about it, and of course our fault for assuming the basics. We ended up paying above our budget because of what I am sure many customers would consider a "dirty trick" myself included and made us leave the next morning the hostel thinking "for this price, if we knew it before we would have booked something different" will definitely not be my first option if I visit the wonderful village of Isafjordur again.

Warm and clean

Old run down, with poorly equipped kitchen.

Great place. Only 4 rooms and 2 good bathrooms/toilets. Large kitchen / diningroom, with view of the townspeople passing by . Smallish 2 bunkbed room , but I had it all alone. ! Thank you reception ladies ! Clean , quiet , centre of town.

Mir ist besonders die Freundlichkeit der Leute aufgefallen. Die Unterkunft war klein aber fein.

Die Küchenausstattung war verbesserungswürdig. Das Frühstück, was man dazumehmen konnte, war etwas teuer.
