Great location and comfortable room

Long wait times for check in (25 minutes) and no apology given by staff. Also practically every time we needed assistance from the front desk noone was there (there was a sign saying they would return shortly). Our room keys weren't working and it took 30 minutes to fix as there was no one at reception. Also we returned to the hotel after check out to collect our luggage in storage and again no one was at reception.

Booked a room. Tried to call several days and times. Never an answer. Sent a message and no response. I was traveling from out of state and needed to discuss late arrival. Tried to cancel with Hotels.com and they would not refund my money (non-refundable). Who would expect someone to stay at a hotel that you can not reach? BBB has hundreds of complaints about Hotels,com (and they are rates 1.2 by over 11,000 reviews on another site. Beware of both.

The location was excellent for south beach activities.

It never felt clean. It was quite old. They didn’t service the room everyday. We struggled to check out in a timely fashion because the receptionist was asleep. My husband had to wake him. This was despite giving them a heads up about our checkout time the night before.
