The Watergate Hotel

I visited the Watergate Hotel as a professor, leading my undergraduate political science students to learn about the Scandal Suite. Mesfin Asfaha (concierge) was more than accommodating. He spent time not only showing us the suite but also explaining in detail the history of what had occurred. He answered all questions and was knowledgeable. I hope they value him - he's FABULOUS on top of being professional and courteous.

I want to recognize an outstanding team member at The Watergate Hotel who delivered truly exceptional service. Daron Crosby was incredibly helpful, professional, and proactive throughout my stay, making sure every detail was handled seamlessly. What impressed me most was how well he understands the value of loyal returning guests. He took the time to recognize that I am a returning customer and ensured I had a great experience. He is clearly business savvy and understands that repeat customers generate the highest long-term return for a hotel. Team members like him strengthen the brand and create organic growth through customer loyalty. His professionalism, customer focus, and business mindset make him exactly the type of employee who should be recognized for exceptional leadership. The staff's level of attentiveness reflects great hospitality, and I highly recommend this family-friendly hotel. It is an incredible atmosphere and location, very clean, and with all the amenities.

I had a fantastic stay at The Watergate Hotel. The property itself is beautiful, with a great location, stylish rooms, and excellent amenities, but what really made the experience stand out was the staff. Every single person I interacted with was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely helpful. From check-in to check-out, the team went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect and that I felt taken care of. It’s rare to find a hotel where the service elevates the entire experience like this. The combination of a great hotel and an exceptional team makes The Watergate a place I would absolutely stay at again and recommend to others.

DeeJay gave us an awesome tour of the Watergate scandal room! I highly recommend a super fun and interesting tour that is historic around Watergate. Definitely check out there rooftop deck after you’re done! The view from the rooftop is super cool!

From the start of arriving I was pampered and felt amazed. First hotel for a birthday getaway, loved the scenery, loved room services , loved the area and room. The front desk and room service waiters was amazing and very very friendly. I did dislike the spa receptionist. She was rude did not acknowledge me. She always did not tell me about massage offers and barely told me about spa and didn’t go over and beyond for my first time. Sad I didn’t get a massage. But she always talked about me and my guest stating I didn’t belong there. Which made me feel uncomfortable.

I had the most wonderful experience at the Watergate hotel. Staff is amazing and eager to help. Everything was elegant and clean. Wonderful amenities, definitely worth the stay!

I stayed at the Watergate hotel on 02/26/2026-02/27/2026 for business reasons. When I arrived my room wifi was not working and I was unable to get my laptop to connect to my work calls. The staff at the Watergate hotel were exceptionally accommodating and upgraded my room to a better room, they also helped me connect to the wifi and let me have a late check out. Everyone was so nice and I highly recommend you stay here for your next visit to Washington, DC.

The level of commitment from the staff is truly remarkable. I had a concern about a specific issue, and within less than 60 minutes, I was personally contacted to find a solution. Beyond the issue itself, I want to highlight and sincerely thank the entire team for their exceptional dedication in every role: from housekeeping and room arrangements, to the front desk, the restaurant staff, and the management team. I only wish I had had the chance to visit the Scandal Room, but perhaps on a future stay. My appreciation and recognition to everyone for such an outstanding level of service and commitment.

This was a lovely hotel experience. Brought my 4yo. Accommodations were wonderful and staff was so kind.

I have several observations. First is that the hotel itself is a dump. Worn out, sad sack kind of dump. More importantly, the light in my room does not shut off, I have been waiting for a half hour to get help with this. Believe it or not, the front desk at this hotel is staffed by... a bot! No I am not speaking figuratively. Literally a bot. When you finally get a human they tell you the problem;em will be fixed, they're sending somebody up. But in fact nothing is being done. I finally got the manager, who said shed send up engineering. Evidently, in response to my previous calls pleading for help because I have an early flight, nothing had actually been done. Unbelievable. My colleagues noted that the hotel appeared empty. Now I understand why. Do not make the mistake of booking here. Unbelievably poor infrastructure and service. A terrible combination.
