Central Hostel

Location was perfect, in the city center of Kharkiv. Really convenient and cheap

Everything was good or really good. The location was awesome to visit the city center, access the metro and Park Tarasa Shevchenka. The staff was kind and available: although they didn't speak English, they managed to be understood. It was required to leave your shoes outside of the room, and free slippers for the duration of the stay were provided, as well as a place in an unlocked entrance locker for your shoes. The room was spacious, featured a table, chairs, hangers, key lockers. The bed was clean and comfortable, and had personal power plugs, as well as USB plugs and pockets for your small belongings. The bathrooms worked well, were spacious and very clean.

The common shoe lockers were not locked, bit that's understandable. They were camera-controlled. The locker key for the room worked awfully, it was really hard to open and close the locker, but that may be a one-off, and it's probably something that will happen at some point. The bed USB plugs, obviously, were powered by a charger, which unfortunately was noisy, as it emitted a buzz. It may be unnoticeable for most people, but it's something to note.
