The Dupont Circle Hotel

I just wanted to leave a little review to say how lovely Estella was during my stay. As someone who stays at in hotels regularly for work and is often travelling, having such a friendly and welcoming face really makes a difference. Estella was honestly so kind, welcoming and helpful from start to finish, and nothing ever seemed like too much trouble. She went above and beyond to help me whenever I needed anything and always did it with a smile. It’s people like her that can completely change your experience of a hotel and make it feel like a home away from home. Thank you so much for all your help and kindness, you really made my stay so much better, and I truly appreciate everything you did!

The hotel staff (valet, front desk, room service staff, doorman, cleaning staff) were all very friendly and helpful. The room was quiet, spotless, and very comfortable. As a solo female traveler, I felt completely safe and welcome. I would definitely come again!

Room is clean and large, and the location is pretty good too. Our suite came with a bottle of wine and personalized message (with a catch though). Wifi speed is awesome too. Overall it's a rather decent hotel, hardware-wise.

The human factor. During our stay, it seems the entire hotel ran out of body wash. They did eventually provide us small travel size bottles after a lot of back-and-forth. Also the room was understocked with small things like bottled water, wine glasses and opener (beating the purpose of the free wine), and even after we contacted room service, some of them never came. Also, we checked in two rooms at the same time, but on our second day we received message saying one of the rooms was a no-show for the first night. Eventually they'd charge our card for the penalty so it had no real impact either way, but both the front desk and myself were puzzled how this would even happen.
