The Omni Grove Park Inn & Spa - Asheville

Visited for my birthday. Was offered a discounted upgrade to concierge level at check-in due to a cancellation and we took it. I have stayed at many concierge levels and I have to say I was disappointed. The food selection was not good for picky eaters and not a lot of variety. The “salad” was basically bagged lettuce with some dressing on it. The breakfast was wonderful and the service was great! This is overall a beautiful resort and the spa was wonderful. My only complaint about the spa is it’s very difficult to get into and there were not enough chairs or enough hooks to hang robes, etc. in the “coed “part of the spa. Beautiful place for a sunset as well!

We had a very nice three night stay this week. The staff is professional and well trained. Every employee we encountered starting with the parking valets all the way through to housekeeping were polite and helpful. Lunch on the Sunset Terrace is a real treat, the view is spectacular and the service and food is worth the cost. We enjoyed the hotel immensely and we knew going in this is not a budget hotel. It is a treat to stay here.

The Grove Park Inn is a one of a kind stay. All staff are extremely helpful and friendly. They were very accommodating. The spa is breathtaking and allows for optimal relaxation. Restaurants were incredible with a variety of options.

Terrible experience, they were overbooked so you couldn't get a timely reservation for dinner. They had no reservations available at the Spa. No one mentioned this unavailability when we made our reservations. Nor did they mention that we needed reservations for the various restaurants on the property, and the few available times left were inconvenient. I expected better.

Stayed here for the second time. This time was for a wedding. I felt like the customer service was amazing. Everyone so helpful.. and the accommodations including the wedding venue was amazing!

Overall my experience was really impacted by the shower pressure in my room as well as the quality of the mattress in my room. I stayed in a premium room thus expecting much better quality. The shower pressure was so poor. I was having a difficult time for a shampoo out of my hair and staying warm during the shower. The bed was so firm that I wasn’t able to sleep on my side. The lobby was beautiful. The terrace was beautiful. The drinks served on the terrace or nice. The fitness center was also a great experience. But given thepoor guest room experience, I would likely not stay here again.

Back in the late 80s, I thought this place was cool. But the beds are not worthy of the price. The food and drink are not worthy of the price. If you are looking for the view or wanting to sit in front of the fireplace, come and buy an overpriced beverage, pay too much for the parking, and then head back into town.
