The Omni Grove Park Inn & Spa - Asheville

Absolutely livid with the Grove Park Inn. We come here every year for our Anniversary. At over 500 dollars per night, plus food and Spa services, a weekend is easily over 2000 dollars. We booked our mountain view room months ago and arrived to construction with Scaffolding directly outside of our window. While I understand things have to be repaired, GPI should have notified us of this occurrence and given us the option to change rooms or reschedule our stay. When we complained to the front desk and tried to have them understand this inconvenience and the let down we were feeling, they could not have cared less. Specifically the front desk manager Maggie Kaysak. She was condescending and robotic. She kept saying the same thing over and over again. That she was sorry but there was no room availability in the new wing that we wanted and also no mountain view at all. The ONLY option we had was a resort view in the older wing. She refused to offer any compensation to the fees for our inconvenience. We were told, either take the resort view room or feel free to check out. We requested to speak with a higher up manager and she stated there were none on the premises. We will be attempting to reach another manager by phone. As I stated, we have stayed here yearly for many years, but this may be our last. I have attached pictures of our original room view, the parking lot view room we currently are in, and I guess as a bonus, I get to pick up someone elses trash that was left our bathroom floor. What a disappointment.

VERY MUCH OVER PRICED...Marketing and little deceiving advertise great spa pool with waterfalls the fail to disclose that you have to pay an extra 250.00 per person to go to the pool !!!!

Great views, friendly staff, and many restaurants on property. However, there are way too many fees that you are being charged for. That "complimentary" bottle of water in your room and "complimentary" golf lesson that you didn't even know you were intitled to, are part of the "hotel service charge" on your bill...and this is a daily charge not just one time. Also, this hotel is pet friendly, however, there are very few areas to walk your dog. The areas allowing for pets are all the way in the back of the property near the golf course and again it's a few small pockets of grass.

Our honeymoon stay at the Omni Grove Park Inn was unforgettable. The service was warm and attentive from the moment we arrived, and the property itself is stunning—full of history, beautifully maintained, and offering incredible mountain views. Although the spa was fully booked, the concierge went above and beyond by recommending another location, which ended up being perfect and kept our trip relaxing and memorable. Our room was spotless and comfortable, with thoughtful touches throughout the hotel. The only drawback was that the tub sloped slightly, which made us feel a bit unbalanced. Even so, we left feeling refreshed and celebrated. Highly recommend the Omni for anyone visiting Asheville, especially for a special occasion.

BEWARE of construction on the exterior of the hotel currently. It's extremely loud (Vanderbuilt wing) so if you are traveling with small children (or are there for a relaxing vacation), you will not be able to relax in the room during the day between noon and 6pm. Additionally, if you have an executive suite, they are only available in that wing FYI. They did apologize, but after a few days of the same experience we ended up leaving early since being home would be more relaxing/comfortable and not worth the $1k a night we were spending (for two rooms) at the hotel.

The location, the views, and the main inn are stunning. The food at Edison restaurant was outstanding. The service and price are not worth it. All told, almost $600 for 1 night parking, and dinner ( grilled cheese and soup) I stayed at the GPI before Omni purchased it. This time we only stayed one night and were nickel-and-dimed: $35/45 per day for parking when there's a plethora of parking available; It took an hour to get our bags from bellman. We would have taken our own bags up, but we needed a cart and were told we weren't allowed to use them. No complimentary coffee, indoor pool was ice cold, advertised as heated; most staff seemed frazzled and overworked.
