AmericInn by Wyndham Elkhorn Near Lake Geneva

Everything was great easy check in staff was friendly. The room was nice great size. Loved the breakfast options. Pool needs a little cleaning the hot tub also needed cleaning. We turned it on and a lot of bubbles started coming out! Not sure if something was added to the water but then it made us cough from an strong scent it had. Not sure what it was but we got out right away. Overall good just that minor inconvenience with the pool area

Quiet Area

The hotel lobby and especially my room had an overpowering smell of a strong cleaning product, barely masking the smell of dirty carpets. The clerk refused to acknowledge a problem and refused to give me my money back (I’d already paid through Expedia). I was in the room for all of five minutes—long enough to call and find a neighboring hotel. I’ve stayed in many hotels and have never encountered such a smell like this. I later spoke to the manager, who also refused a refund. At the neighboring hotel I was told that this is a recurring problem. But I can only speak to my experience and say that I’ll never stay at another AmericInn and urge people to avoid this property.

We had just a good time there. We were able to relax!. Quiet clean area. And they also provide free breakfast and they have a pool inside. Definitely going back again!

Price was too high

Bed was comfy. Room seemed clean. Microwave and fridge were much appreciated

Pool was cold, pool floor was slippery. Hot tub was foamy. Breakfast was ok. Coffee was not good.
