Location was the only positive.

The room smelled like an ash tray. When I originally asked for a room, I asked for non smoking and I was bringing my dog. When I arrived, I was told non smoking rooms don't allow dogs. It was so late. We were exhausted was the only reason we stayed. The floors were absolutely filthy. The mirror over the sink was dropping dry wall debris all over the place. The ashtray in the room still had ashes in it.

Bed was ok. Decor was not high on the list; the television was installed on the wall and the framed picture was never removed from behind it. The chair was dirty.

Breakfast was pitiful. And the person responsible for the food was not very helpful.

The shower head was held together with some kind of tape

The toilet tended to run after flushing with an extremely loose lever. We had to take the lid off to insure the stopper sealed. The inside of the toilet had a fair amount of rust on the hardware and it is clear that the mechanism hadn’t been maintained although housecleaning had to have noticed it. The room was pretty clean but the toilet hardware detracted from the feeling of cleanliness. In addition, the location was a bit confusing as the sign was not easily seen from the main road. It requires a left turn very quickly after getting off the interstate and it’s easy to miss.

It was close to the Holiday Inn so that when we had to leave early due to the property’s hygienic issues, we were able to get to the new hotel quickly.

The pictures and hotel rating led us to believe this was going to be a safe and clean hotel. We weren’t thrilled that it had exterior room entrances, but assumed it would be fine. Once we got to our room, the smell of cigarettes was very strong inside. We tried to get past that since it was late and we had to get our 3 month old fed and to bed. After unpacking, we started to notice other factors such as the comforter and towels having stains. The bed was super hard and uncomfortable. We tried to just ignore these factors and move on, but the next morning we gave our daughter a bath and noticed stains in the tub and what appeared to be mold on the ceiling above the tub. Our baby had spit up on the floor, so my husband used a burping cloth to clean it up. After wiping the floor, the amount of dirt that was on the cloth was disgusting. There was no way that floor had been cleaned before we got there. After I took a shower, my feet got dirty just by taking a few steps on the floor. It became a hazard for our daughter, so we had to check out early. We were told we would get refunded for the additional 2 nights we had planned to stay there, but then received an email a few hours later stating we won’t be refunded and will be charged an additional $100 for leaving early. I am still in the middle of trying to get our refund and avoid the extra cost since the quality of the hotel was terrible and out of our control.
