Baymont by Wyndham Florence/Muscle Shoals

Looked nice from the exterior.

The lady when I checked in was less than hospitable. I open the door to my handicap accessible room, as I am a disabled veteran, the first thing I see is the delaminated floor, the next thing is the lamps, completely rusted out on the bottom, the tv was flopped over because of the broken stand, next to the refrigerator that wasn’t operating then you get to the handicap accessible bathroom, the door opens to the inside of the room it strikes the refrigerator cabinet at about 3/4 of the full swing, so the door won’t open completely enough to be accessible from an ADA perspective. The shower. Oh this was great. The shower head was the hand wand from a shower kit on a bracket for the required shower bars. The bed and towels smelled as though they had only been washed with water, no soap. I know I have laid on the ground in Afghanistan that was more comfortable than the bed and I can say with certainty a ruck makes a better pillow. The heat works! The only problem is, the thermostat doesn’t. I took the manager and showed him in the morning.
