Palace Hotel do Bussaco

Great setting, poor hospitality services: no WiFi in rooms, no plugs in the room, overpriced restaurant with very mediocre fare. People are very nice, the settings are sumptuous but everything else is stuck in the 60's.

The hotel itself is beautiful and located in the middle of an amazing forest, which creates a very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The interiors are elegant and full of character, with many historical photographs that give the place a special charm and sense of history. The breakfast was good, and we also really enjoyed the dinner in the restaurant. There is a museum nearby, and guests can even climb the old bell tower.

Since this is an old building, the sound insulation is extremely poor — you can hear absolutely everything happening in neighboring rooms and corridors. It became very noisy at night, and sadly the staff did not seem to ensure that guests respected the quiet hours after 11 PM. Falling asleep was almost impossible, and it was also very difficult to reach the reception desk by phone to ask for assistance. This significantly affected our overall experience and rest. Another inconvenience is that after 3 PM it becomes almost impossible to have a proper meal at the hotel. The restaurant closes at 2:30 PM, and the bar only serves toast and very limited snacks. Considering that the hotel is located in the middle of a forest, this feels quite strange and inconvenient. Fortunately, there is a small café outside where you can at least get pizza.

A simpatia de todos os funcionários tornou a estadia ainda mais especial. Adorei também a envolvência histórica do hotel, cheia de charme e personalidade, bem como a floresta que o rodeia, criando um ambiente único e tranquilo.

Nota-se alguma degradação nas instalações. É um espaço maravilhoso e com enorme potencial, mas que beneficiaria bastante de uma renovação/reforma para voltar a ter o brilho que merece.

Las instalaciones son espectaculares. La comodidad de la habitación es buena, aunque no es espaciosa y la atención del personal increíble. Sin duda, lo mejor son los exteriores.

A destacar que para ser un 5* no hay minibar (frigorífico) en la habitación, el secador lleva colgado allí más de 30 años y a la mampara de la ducha le faltaba la silicona por lo que sin querer se anegaba el cuarto de baño.

O hotel em si é muito bonito e a sua localização é fantastica Os funcionarios eram simpaticos.

O quarto estava muito quente tendo sido necessario chamar alguem a meia noite porque não dava para desligar por nós mesmo já que o quarto tinha o aquecimento avariado. Achei que o pequeno almoco podia ter mais variedade
