Extended Stay America Suites - Los Angeles - Monrovia

Older and a little run down. Like the bathroom should be redone. It had an "older" smell when walking in. However, everything was clean. The fridge was clean and cold. Had a stove, idk if it worked. The microwave was the smallest microwave I've ever seen, but it worked. For a weekend stay, it fulfilled our needs. Staff was friendly, gave us an extra towel, soap, and shampoo. Check in/out was easy. Oh only downside, don't take the stairs, it smelled like urine.

Nice and safe area. Staff were very friendly. When we first arrived the room given to us had a not so cold air conditioner but as soon as told the front desk they changed our room. Very easy. Great place to stay and will definitely be back.

Nice location, close to the 210, but with little to no highway noise. We were there for a music festival at the Rose Bowl, so the location was very convenient. That part of Monrovia/Arcadia offered a lot of great restaurant choices.

The only issue we encountered was that our room wasn’t ready when we arrived. It was about 3:45 and we’d been on the road nearly six hours. We went to a local pub type place and killed some time before we could check in. There is no restroom to use if you haven’t checked in. Thankfully the gal at the front desk let us use the staff restroom, which was nice.

Cleanliness big issue

Most of the staff was professional, kind and helpful. However, the manager should be fired. The manager should be Fired!

Staff was generally courteous. Room was clean to start with, but by the time I finished my two weeks stay, it definitely needed room service (their policy is no free room service for stays upto two weeks - so you have to remove your trash too). You have to ask for utensils and dishes at the front desk if you intend to cook. In my room the fridge was leaking and it didn't get fixed till I left.
