Best Western Pasadena Royale Inn & Suites

No problems with wi-fi. Temperature control worked well. Bed comfortable: adequately firm mattress, pillows OK. Good lighting throughout room, for working at desk and for reading in bed. No problems with noise, despite the proximity of Colorado Boulevard and its being a weekend.

Glass desktop, which doesn't work well with an optical mouse. But that's a minor thing—I put down a sheet of paper for a mouse-pad, and it worked fine.

This is a better-than-average Best Western. Typical layout, with a clean, working fridge and microwave. The room was clean and comfy, with fresh towels and linens. The front desk was smiling and friendly, both on check-in and check-out. The breakfast buffet was hot, plentiful, and fully-stocked to their 9:30 stop time; I particulary liked the waffle-maker. There is an elevator and luggage carts for easier unloading. We had a lovely stay. The only glitch was someone's car alarm going off during the night; it was windy, and that sort of thing is beyond the control of the hotel, anyway. I recommend this place without reservation.

*Lumpy, non-supportive bed. *Paper thin walls - slamming doors, heavy walking exterior of room, TV noise, people arguing all night long. Literally only got one hour of sleep. *Very dated and old looking .... price of $627 was SEVERLY bloated for the quality of this property.  *Room smelled musty - had severe congestion ... allergic to dust and mold. *Toilet flush sounds like a vortex suction to space unknown. *Found a black hair on the bathroom counter and one on a folded towel *Dirty switches / touch areas (used lysol wipes to clean)
