Oryza Guest House& Suites

What a fantastic find. We wanted somewhere with a pool so that we could have a relax but were not sure about being out of town with no restaurants or shops nearby. We need not have worried - at only 4 euro in an uber it was so easy to go there and back many times. The staff went above and beyond. There was always someone on duty up to 8pm who could provide snacks or drinks or answer questions. Even later when we were trying to watch the World Cup the manager answered our what’s app questions at 10pm Rooms were well equipped and very comfortable. Some opened onto the patio and some were in the main house which dates back to around 1890s Breakfast was wonderful and plentiful - cereal, fruit from the gardens, bread rolls, homemade jam, cheese, ham, plain croissant, chocolate croissant, freshly made cake, eggs from the chickens, freshly squeezed orange juice. Honesty bar available as well as tea, coffee and homemade cake Flexible about check in

Really can’t think of anything apart from having to leave

Lovely place with great breakfast and beautiful bathroom. Big garden with many places to relax. Possibility to buy drinks like local beers and wines from the fridge or shelf.

The swimming pool was cold and smaller than expected and the location is a bit too far from Coimbra to walk. We took taxis to not need to park and drive too much. Also the car parking was not as imagined. Easier to park in a nearby street. No other horeca close to b&b.

Super Frühstück

Eine wirklich schöne Unterkunft, ein Innenhof mit Pool und viele schöne Plätzchen zum verweilen. Bekamen ein Upgrade ohne Mehrkosten. Alle Räume mit vlel Liebe eingerichtet. Herzlicher und freundlicher Empfang. Sehr hilfsbereit bei der Erkundung der Stadt. Kann es nur Empfehlen.

Liebevoll gestaltetes Zimmer im einem alten Herrenhaus und schönem Innenhof und Gartenbereich zum Erholen

This is a wonderful place. The hosts created the most welcoming environment, treating their guests with attention to all their needs, kindness, and respect. Breakfast is perfect, rooms are stylish and comfortable, and the garden is beautiful. And it's very convenient to explore Coimbra from this base.

sehr individuell, das Haus atmet Geschichte

Wir waren von unserem Aufenthalt im Oryza total begeistert. Es liegt nicht weit außerhalb der Stadt, aber weit genug entfernt, um dem Trubel zu entfliehen und etwas mehr Natur zu genießen. Alles ist sehr liebevoll gestaltet, mit einem schönen Garten, der zahlreiche Möglichkeiten zum Entspannen bietet, und sogar einem kleinen Pool. Das Zimmer war sehr groß, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und das Bett äußerst bequem. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und wird am Tisch serviert – auf Wunsch auch im Garten. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die frisch gebackenen Kuchen, der frisch gepresste Orangensaft und die Eier aus dem eigenen Hühnerstall. Das Hotelpersonal war stets sehr freundlich, insbesondere Edgar, der uns herzlich, sympathisch und hilfsbereit empfangen hat. Auf unserer Reise haben wir in verschiedenen Hotels übernachtet, aber dieses war mit Abstand das schönste. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Nous avons passé 2 nuits ici et ne pouvons que recommander ce logement exceptionnel. Tout y est parfait: accueil par Edgar, chambre, personnel, petit dejeuner. Oryza est un peu à l'écart du centre, au calme et la demeure est vraiment charmante. Un vrai havre de paix
