I enjoyed the overall feel of the home. It really displayed the traditional Japanese experience.

The home wasn't really properly heated as in there were areas in the home where it was extremely cold. However, rooms that were heated were very comfortable. The toilet can also be slightly bigger and warmer.

If you are looking to experience an old Japanese house this is the right stay for you, it is an amazing experience. it is so spacious! which is a great thing to have in Japan since most stays in Japan are small. definitely coming back again.

Some rooms has an old house smell, but it can easily be fixed by ventilation.

The location of the property was close to trains and Kawaguchiko lake. The property is very spacious so there is room for everyone.

We were a party of 9 and there was only one toilet and one bathroom. There is one unrinal but it has a shared door with the toilet so it lacked privacy.

Great location, few minutes from train station and lake, cool traditional old house

It was so huge and reasonable price and many things to try at the house

I liked everything about the property, except the Go pieces were missing while I was playing super competitive with my friend

Creaky floors but it does not bother me much.

It is a comfortable 2 storey house for Japanese standards. It has a nice kitchen with a living room. AC for cold and heat along with a lot of dehumidifiers The rooms are small and they have the futons which I find them really uncomfortable. There are no shades on the windows so a lot of light coming in the morning. There was a small patio on the ground floor but has no view. As were 2 people we had enough to put 3 futons on top of each there to make them more comfortable. We appreciated the space and the amazing bathroom where there was a big bathtub where you could fill up and watch tv in the bathroom which also could become a steam room. Full Japanese experience. There is a washer but not a dryer so we decided to do laundry to place close by. We did not cook there as we ate out every day. We also liked the massage chair. It is closely located to the village (10 min walk) and in a quite area. I would recommend this spot.

Futons are not comfortable and they had the weirdest bed sheets ( the format of the duvet cover was off). Very steep stairs . Hard to open that lock key to get the door key. The address that was provided by the owner was incorrect so luckily we figured out its location by the pictures in the instruction sheet. Need to keep the AC on in heat otherwise the place becomes very cold ( we were there in March).
