TRU by Hilton Lehi, UT

Staff was very nice and accommodating. We enjoyed complementary hot chocolate and beds were comfortable.

Breakfast was basic but good. Several things were broken and not working, such as yogurt. Juice was very watered down and ran out of egg omelette. The blind in our room was broken and part of the wall trim was coming off. Hot tub could have been warmer and cleaner.

Actually clean my room. We checked in to dirty sheets. Blood, hair and granola. The floors were sticky and the paperwork from previous guest was in the rooms fridge. Toilet was stained. We also found a pill in our sheets. We got new sheets and remade our bed. The bathroom was missing body wash and the conditioner was broken. There was blood smear on the wall. And hair everywhere.

Breakfast was good. Nice change with mini omelets instead of plain scrambled.

Coffee was horrible. Good brand but Everytime I tried it full of coffee grounds

The bathrooms are dirty. There’s hair everywhere, soap, motion, conditioner, dispenser, brown stuff, all in it.

Our experience at this particular Tru by Hilton was very disappointing. The front staff was always cheerful and polite and that was the best part of our stay. Upon check in, we found our room had no toilet paper or wash cloths. The front desk was able to provide a couple rolls of toilet paper and I found a staff member with a cleaning cart to give me several wash cloths. We stayed a total of four nights and our room was not serviced that entire time. We usually left mid morning and returned late evening, so our room was vacant most of the day. By day three, on our way out in the morning, we stopped by the front desk and asked that our room please be refreshed as our trash was full (there were no extra bags so we couldn’t empty it ourselves) and we needed fresh wash cloths. When we returned that evening we found our room untouched. The trash cans in the hallways were not emptied the entire time we were there and other guests just kept stuffing more trash into them. The lobby trash cans would be full of breakfast trash all day and random napkins kept piling up by the ice machine. The hallways were unvacuumed and bits of trash and hair accumulated throughout our stay. The carpet in front of the coffee station would go a couple days without vacuuming as well. We did see several staff busy with disassembling holiday decorations, ignoring full trash cans and unswept/unvacuumed public areas. The water pressure in the shower was terrible and would randomly trickle down to a small dribble halfway through even a short shower. It was overall a very unpleasant stay. Especially since we paid up to stay at a Hilton property, passing up cheaper properties that in the past had provided better service.
