Gina recommended great Mexican restaurants and Pierre had a lot of very useful practical advice for us.

The cleanliness of the hotel could be a bit better, but we understand that it is not easy to maintain an old, historic house.

Breakfast was very good and the location was excellent, close to the bus station and the main square and market. Being in the old district allowed us to have a more authentic cultural experience. Our hosts Gina & Jean-Pierre made our stay memorable. They are genuinely nice people and a pleasure to talk with, as well as helping us out with suggestions on things to do and see in this wonderful city. La Pantera Negra is a hidden gem, with a beautiful, peaceful garden to relax in at the end of a busy day.

Breakfast each morning was delicious! Enjoyed the conversation with other guests as well as Jean-Pierre, the host. Served on the outdoor terrace in a nice environment. A true "bed and breakfast" experience.

Our mattress was a bit "tired", and sagged towards the middle. We had to keep asking for toilet paper, which was dispensed one roll at a time. It would have been helpful if an extra roll or two was maintained in the bathroom.
