La Pantera Negra

This is the real bed & breakfast. A lovely couple lives there and runs the place with care. The house is a mini-gallery with inspiring decorations. Gina and Jean-Pierre, thanks again for the breakfasts, conversations and advice about traveling around Yucatan :)

There was nothing we did not like

The warmth from the hosts was exceptional. Treated us like friends spending time specially around breakfast speaking about relevant travel and life related topics. Loved that we got a fresh fruit bowl with local seasonal fruits every day! The stay had very beautiful interiors with lots of showcase pieces adorning it. Also the location is close and walkable to many of the attractions.

The hosts, Gina and Jean-Pierre, are lovely people with a nice hostel. Both take care that their guests have a nice stay and trying the very best in order to make their guests stay a perfect Mérida experience. We got super recommendations for Restaurants, bars, trips and much more. Every day, the breakfast was made differently but all the time it was made with fresh and local ingredients and have been served with a good story about Mérida or Yucatán. The location is perfectly Located (downtown, Bus station and many bars and restaurants nearby)

From the check in, to the cleanliness, the artistic decoration and the diverse breakfast, we enjoyed every part of our stay.

The house had a different use prior to becoming a hotel, therefore, not all rooms had complete privacy. Our room had many windows and was adjacent to the living room. Despite the curtains one could feel less privacy but the owners and other guests were not intrusive.

The location of the house is great, just a 3 minutes walk from ADO bus station. The neighborhood was quiet and safe, I didn't have any problem walking as a solo traveler. Jean-Pierre is very nice and knowledgeable, I had very interesting conversations with him. The house and the room are very nicely decorated. Also the breakfast was very good, being served on the terrace of the house.

Lovely little family run b&b! Set in one of Merida's charming old houses with a heavenly garden. Great location and with wonderful hosts

Had an amazing experience, the owners (and their two lovely dogs) are super friendly and accommodating, the place itself is charming, and the location is very convenient. Would 100% recommend.

I would have preferred a little more privacy than the symbolic curtain separating the ensuite bathroom from the bedroom could provide, but a. there is another (shared) bathroom and b. everything else was simply marvellous.

Great place to explore Mérida from! It’s a true BnB which means the hosts also live there. Which is a good recipe for a “home” vibe including good talks and company. We enjoyed our stay (and the amazing breakfast!) and would definitely recommend it.
