La Pantera Negra

Gina and Jean-Pierre were so warm and inviting. We had nice chats in the sitting area while watching tv and they were always open to answering my questions about living in Merida. Breakfast was prepared with care, and what a lovely setting on the roof terrace. The shower took a few minutes to warm up, but once it did, it was wonderfully hot. I'm more of a cat person but their 2 dogs were so sweet and it was hard to say goodbye to them!

I can't think of anything...Gina and Jean-Pierre's place - and their hospitality - met all of my needs and more.

The hosts Jean-Pierre and Gina were so welcoming and friendly and full of information. The house is a gem and feels like an oasis in the middle of the city. We liked being a little outside of the tourist zone but still in a very walkable neighborhood. The bedroom was kept very clean and we really enjoyed the breakfasts!

Jean-Pierre and Gina were very welcoming; you are truly a houseguest in their home! Jean-Pierre and Gina will give you lots of guidance on what to see and do in the area. What made the stay here even better were their two dogs, who welcomed me "home" every time I came back from exploring Merida. The location is also superb, as you are so close to the historic centro as well as the ADO and AutoProgreso stations.

The breakfast was delicious and nutritious. The room was comfortable, spacious and full of character.The hosts are kind ,engaging and helpful. The dogs are so sweet and cuddly! The house is beautifully decorated and very spacious. The garden is a little slice of heaven!

The only complaint about our stay is not the fault of our fabulous hosts.There were no air conditioned restaurants and shops within a short walk.

We loved the place. The location is very convenient (5-10 min. walk from the center). The place is very unique in it's decoration. Lovely garden and a sweet little sweaming pool. The rooms are very spacious and fully equipped. They lack windows because of the traditional way the house is constructed , so the natural light arrives from the window at the ceiling. For is, it was not a problem. The breakfast is very generous and served usually on their lovely rooftop. Jean-Pierre and Gina, the owners are fluent in English, French and Spanish and are always ready to help. Very knowledgeable about the city and the surroundings. It is reasonably priced. Oh... and they have the two sweetest little dogs. Bottom line: highly recommend.

The only thing I can think of is that the rooms are a little dark

Very cosy and charming B&B with pleasant owners J-P and Gina (and their 2 child friendly dogs)! We stayed in the room that gave direct access to the lovely garden, and there was a baby cot available for us. The swimming pool is ideal for young kids, it begins non-deep, and provides the necessary cooling after a hot day. J-P and Gina both also speak French and they like to tell you everything about Merida, the region, the food,... very helpfull! You can park just in the street, completely free. 5-10min walk to the heart of Merida. Grocery stores are very nearby.
