Iberostar Selection Coral Bavaro - All Inclusive

Foods are not exceptional other than the stackhouse restaurent. I expected to delicious foods for being a 5 star resort. Drinks are also okay, nothing crazy. Stuffs are good and friendly. Coral level experience with the pool access and ocean front room is amazing. Lots of activities for kids too. Beach is also super clean.

Just returned from this AI and was overwhelmed by how great it was. The food was plentiful and good. Service was always good. The rooms were also great. Stayed in 2379. The A/C was not that hot but put in a request on the app and within 90 minutes it was fixed and the room was constantly cold. We had Milena as our room stewardess. She was awesome and put fancy flowers in our bathroom and on our bed. Esterlin near the beach burger place always greeted us with a BIG smile and also helped serve us at the Brave restaurant. Another great person we encountered was Franchy who took us to our room on arrival and also picked us up for checkout. We went to the show the night they had the Queen tribute band and the entertainment staff was awesome. It was packed and we didn't have a seat. When a couple people left they grabbed the chairs and brought them over for us. They were so accommodating. When we go back to Punta Cana we will book the same resort for sure as it was spacious, quiet,and the beach was great. They awesome came down the beach with a tractor and cleared away the seaweed which wasn't that bad. Beware of the golf carts if you are walking as they zip around and are very quiet and hard for me to hear,

Everything was amazing, from the moment we got there till the moment we left, staff were attentive and helpful at all times. From Margarita the beautiful and sweet lady that cleaned our room, Angelica the lady at the coral beach bar that made me around 40 tequila shots throughout my stay, Glady's la dura de Los masajes that restarted my life with a 50 min massage by the beach, to the shuttles guys, security guys. Everyone was nice, attentive and respectful. Food was great and the little activities they had on different days were also a highlight, will definely come back.

We loved having the opportunity to avail ourselves of all of the facilities and the resort, despite staying in one of them. The grounds are meticulously maintained—they look even more beautiful since my trip nearly exactly 2 years ago. The staff is virtually the same, too—and that speaks volumes for the company. The staff make it their daily focus to insure every guest is pleased with their service.

The ice/water machines never had any ice. I know it’s a challenge keeping it cold, but there should be a way to access it without requesting it from the bars. The “oceanfront” rooms didn’t really feel as if they are on the beach due to their significant distance from the water. Getting reservations for the few restaurants was a challenge that never ended for us. Being Coral level and having an assigned concierge for 8 nights made zero difference. It shouldn’t be my second job. The concierge was useless.

Jose arias Our stay at the Iberostar Selection Coral Bávaro to celebrate our honeymoon was exceptional. We didn’t spend much time inside it, but our villa was lovely and the housekeeping staff surprised us with lovely designs on our bed everyday made with palms and flowers from right outside our door. They were very creative and I wish I could name them here but we never crossed paths. Our personal concierge, Samuel Avelino, was attentive and helpful and we appreciated his check ins to be sure everything was going smoothly. He made sure to have champagne sent to our villa on my husband’s birthday too. We loved our time in the Star Prestige beach area. Jose Arias provided great and friendly beach service always making sure we had drinks in our hands. We enjoyed the food and there are so many options to eat from various buffets to a la carte restaurants. Our favorite dinner was at the Gala night at El Faro. There appeared to be a lot of management in attendance and they made sure everything was delicious and running smoothly. We were thrilled with this being our last dinner at the resort and it was complete with a violinist for entertainment while enjoying our food. We are already talking about our next trip back!

The people make all the difference here! Luis, Jose and Zulekia are the most attentive to every detail! Scheduling the best dinners, our massages, with our favorites Marisol and Cleo; they are the best! We come here each holiday because they make us feel like family! Gracias! Until November…

The good— the resort grounds are well maintained, the rooms were large and clean, it was easy to get around the massive resort with the plentiful golf cart service and the food was very good for an AI. The bad— with the exception of the house keeping services, most customer service was awful. A bartender at the Coral beach bar rolled his eyes at my friend because she didn’t order her frozen drink at the same time I did and he had to make another. The concierges at the Coral level were very unhelpful and unpleasant, except for the woman I met upon check out. Restaurant staff were only friendly on the day they were doing guest surveys in the restaurant where they begged for five star reviews. Shows were not as good as some I’ve seen at other resorts and there was not a lot of other activities happening, even though they were listed in the app. Our kids had a great time, and the good parts made for an overall enjoyable trip, but with the service we received we won’t be back. I’m kind of surprised at all of the positive reviews considering our experience.
