Hotel Ade

Very nice chilling space in the pool area. They have free breakfast (only few options but good).

The toilet doesn’t have a door The room door doesn’t have mosquito screen and the place has many mosquitos, so you have to sleep with everything closed. Only 2 towels, I asked for more but they said no.

Pague habitación doble y me dieron una sencilla con una cama sencilla y me cobraron mucho más de lo que acorde cuando lo escogimos. Se puede encontrar hoteles mucho mejor y con mejor servicio. Wi fi nunca trabajo, la TV nunca se conecto el agua esta super pesada de minerales porque obvio no tienen un suavisador. No lo recomiendo para nada!

Staff were very friendly & accomodating, it felt very safe and welcoming environment. Room was very clean, and overall the hotel had great facilities in a small town like Bacalar.

Close to the lagoon. Room was okay, clean, spatious. Nothing fancy but good for some nights.

Bathroom door not working properly (hard to close). Fridge would be nice with this weather.

The place looked nice... Lox was lovely... Great position... But I do not recommend this place. I hotels' main purpose is a good night sleep and that is hard to achieve here.... See dislikes below:

What a disappointment... It was clean but smelled of bleach, the bed and pillows were too hard, the shelves either side of the bed were broken/wonky, and the lighting was dreadful, no bedside lights. The pool looks good in the wide angle advert photo, but it's little more than a hot tub you can't swim in. The Noise!! Was dreadful... The concrete and big window/doors seem to be effective noise transporters... The never ending dog barking especially and on the last morning from about 6am until I left 11am, Lox the managers dog was tied on a short rope to a tree and barked non-stop until I asked the owner to help the poor dog in the managers absence. Also the bikes.. I paid 150p and had it for only a short one way journey to end of the bay when the bald front tyre got a puncture... I asked for the bike to be rescued, which it was, but then Gil the manager refused a refund... After a debate I got a partial refund. Bad form!

The room was very clean. Cleaning service did a really good Job!

We paid extra for a "deluxe" room, expecting a balcony,as it was in the description.but it was just a window facing a noisy street and entrance. The room was in a flour with 6 rooms facing each other in a row, offering no privacy. When we questioned the discrepancy with the booking description, the owner was really rude and disrespectful. The boss claimed it was a miscommunication:) The room had a tiny bed, no privacy, and was very noisy, especially during 5:45 AM check-ins. The only good point was the cleanliness! Breakfast was awful—watery coffee, frozen omelets. Overall, a disappointing and unpleasant experience. Stay away!
