Hyatt House Indianapolis Fishers

I had a disappointing stay at Hyatt House Indianapolis / Fishers. In hospitality, it is ultimately the staff and service that determine whether a stay feels pleasant. Although the hotel itself is new, with good facilities and a convenient location, the poor service made the overall experience unpleasant. First, we reserve a single king but the room available had two queen beds because the Hotel had overbooked. On our first night (March 4, 2026) there was a power failure, and hotel appeared to have no plan in place. The staff did not seem prepared to handle the situation, and guests were left waiting in the lobby with very limited lighting, as only the hallways had lights. On the second day, we learned that rooms are cleaned only every three days, so we simply requested fresh towels for the early morning of the third day before the scheduled room cleaning. The towels never arrived, and we eventually had to get them ourselves from the front desk. On the third day, the room still had not been cleaned despite direct communication with the Hotel Manager. Housekeeping only tucked in the bed rather than actually cleaning the room. There were no fresh sheets and no new towels. On the fourth day, the room again was not cleaned, and we had to follow up repeatedly with the manager just to have the linens replaced and the room freshened up. This created the impression that the staff were either not aligned with management instructions or simply did not follow the manager’s directions. To be fair, the disappointing housekeeping experience was somewhat offset by the warm and friendly staff in the breakfast area, especially Mariam and Rosemary, who always greeted guests with a smile and were ready to assist. If I return to Fishers, I would most likely choose a different hotel.

The staff were great. The hotel was extremely clean and neat. The gym was large, updated, well-lit, and clean. I was very pleased with my time at this hotel and would come back again.
