Hotel el Manglar

Breakfast was not that great to be honest. Nice staff, but shockingly watery scrambled eggs! The location is great with a public dock onto the lake right at the end of the street

Everything was fine here although the staff were a little unsure about our reservation through Booking. But all that sorted itself out. The town is great and the hotel is two blocks from the central square and the place is full of cafes and restaurants. The hotel itself - tick for everything, parking, hot water, Aircon. Good value.

You can sleep here, the room is allright with AC.

By far the worst value stay we had in mexico. We were ignored for breakfast, which was included so we had to go somewhere else. No warm water to shower with. Mold on the walls & curtains fell from the roof when we tried to close them. They just have 1 parking spot for all guests, so you can't park and leave. You can get a much better stay for the same amount almost anywhere else, would not recommend.

Amazing breakfast. Nice family run hotel, all staff were lovely. Great location. They offer lagoon tours and bike rental. Highly recommend

Very nice people, nice terrace, great location near plaza.

The room was clean. The breakfast was ok. It as close the the Bacalar Lagoon. The outside sitting area is cute.

There were almost no water at the shower either at the evening or morning. And only cold water. We did not feel good about the baggage storage. They told us to leave the language in a room to which everyone could come in from outside the hotel and nobody’s was looking at them.

Well placed family run hotel in quiet area. Good position to explore city centre and lagoon. Parking option is available. Rooms are simple but cost effective. Brekafast is mexican, made fresh from older lady.

Small bathroom and AC was difficult to work with.

Basic and clean room in a good location near the public beach and main streets of restaurants (short walk to both). Nice and quiet bit of town but not far away from anything. Breakfast was great! We liked the little table and chairs outside the room too. We also could park just outside.

For the money, everything was fine. Think they are still doing it up/ getting it ready so there was a little bit of building work but not anything noisy or massive and the electricity went out a couple of times.

Staff member Randy was beyond amazing.

There’s no breakfast as advertised. I got offered coffee or tea. No mention of food. The flat screen TV…… I didn’t know they made them that size! It was as wide as a coat hanger.
