Magnificent Condos in Downtown Toronto

Once getting through the fairly complicated check-in process, everything else was excellent. It’s a spacious well appointed And attractive apartment. It’s crucial for renters to be on the lookout for a communication from Globalstay About pre-check-in procedures. And fill out the form with information at least several hours prior to check in so that their staff can process it, Then send the check-in instructions/codes, etc.

Called to make sure I could park there, they said $10 extra dollars, once I booked it they suddenly did not have parking for my first day, but did the second day for $20. They never gave me the correct code to get the fob open to use the parking. The power went out in half the room the second day there and they ignored me and never had anyone help out or turn it on or tell me who I can talk to to get it on. I reported a spill in the elevator the second day I was there and it was still there 24 hours after I left. There is nobody to talk to when you have an issue. And when I was checking in online, the staff that messaged me was pushy and weird. Moldy bathrooms and pubic hairs all over. Yuck. No close parking ramps to park elsewhere, I had to park in the street far from the condo, and someone hit and run on my car, they don’t do police reports for that, and I have to take my car 45 minutes away to file a report at a designated location. The condo had zero accommodations for anything. You have to move your car every three hours no matter the time or you will get a $30 ticket. Save yourself and stay on the outskirts. Also their ‘parking spot’ was full of junk as shown in the picture.

Great! Quiet neighborhood. No noises from other units. Quiet building. Underground parking. Perfect walking distance to Budweiser outdoor stage.

Check in was at 3. I was with my autistic son, they didn’t give us the key. Had to wait in the lobby with all our bags for a hour until 4pm until the key was in the lockbox. The person was supposed to text me when it was ready. He didn’t. Instead we waited in the hall close to 4 waiting for the lock box to have the key. They won’t discount me, and have not returned my deposit!

We had a great time in Taranto! This place was very quiet and easy in and out.

J'avais des appréhensions avant mon arrivée parce que la réservation s'était faite sans que je sache les étapes suivantes pour faire le check-in mais finalement, la communication a été parfaite sur le "chat" et par courriel. Le fonctionnement était tout de même simple et efficace.

The apartment was not located where it’s was shown on the map or near its listed local attractions. Scotibank arena is a 30min walk, not the 3min walk as was advertised. The information is incorrect. And Global Stays is a horrible company to deal with. This apartment was in fact 2.5 km from the shown location and very isolated. This resulted in needing to pay for Ubers multiple times per day, adding huge unexpected expenses to the 5 day stay. To put this into context. The apartment was booked the night before check in at 11pm. All required ID and deposits were supplied and paid immediately. And only once the check in instructions where provided I noted the location was not as shown as on the map when booking. I attempted multiple times to contact GLOBALSTAY and they did not acknowledge the error or assist in offering a refund. They will claim the address is correct, which it is, they will say the “precise address” is displayed… but like most travellers I book my hotels by the location map, and the written noted distances from the main attractions. If it’s written a “3minute walk” you believe that to be true and correct. I do not copy the address and open it in a new google maps window to check the website was showing the correct embedded Google location map and the correct text description / distance to the local attractions. It was horrible customer service provided by Global Stays. The whole trip to Toronto was tarnished by this.

The unit was ok. One ‘room’ has no windows or door but we knew that when booking. DIY work in the unit is so bad it’s comical! All cosmetic but still…hire someone who owns a toolbox. Not much around within short walking distance restaurants. CN tower is 20 minute walk for reference so not bad but too far for anyone with mobility issues. Overall it was fine for the price and would probably go back again.

The condo was nice but it was not as advertised. From the booking description it was supposed to be 2 bedrooms with 2 queens beds. What I got was a 1 bedroom with a queen bed and there was a twin bed tucked in a space in front of the bathroom. It was also adveritsed as a 7 min walk from union station and a 3min walk from Scotia Bank Center. It was a 24min walk from union and a 28 min walk to the Scotia Bank Arena. They also advertise a gym, pool and sauna, it isnt till the day before when they send check in information that they tell you that you do not have access to any of those things because of covid. I questioned the pool and no response was given and when i checked in and informed global stays that my room was not what I booked with a screen shot of my booking they asked what room I was in and then thanked me for keeping them informed. No further communication was given. This was a trip my sister and I booked with the purpose of going to a Leafs game and being 3 mins to Scotia Bank arena was a draw, with the pool to relax, and of course us each having our own bedrooms. This was definitely not what we got. So it's a nice clean building but just beware it likely isnt the room shown or described when booking. I have included photos of what was said in the booking against what I mentioned above that we got.

Truly an amazing property. The unit we had was on the ground floor, with a private entrance. The unit was especially clean, well organized and outfitted. We had a little trouble with the check in. Our unit was locked upon arrival. It took close to two hours to finally get into the unit with help from security. I was impressed and yet annoyed with the communication. My questions were answered by email very quickly. Yet, I was not able to get a hold of the booking agency or the home owner by phone. The back and forth emails (after I repeatedly request a phone call) only added to my check in frustration. I had to cancel a dinner with long time friends. Thankfully, we had time to make our dinner up. Overall, I would stay at this rental again without a hesitation. In advance, I'd let them know exactly when I'll arrive and request someone double check the unit, insuring a smooth check in process
