Nayara Tented Camp

We didn’t know what the word paradise meant until we visited Nayara. It was our first time to Costa Rica and we came for our honeymoon. We were greeted with a welcome drink and the friendliest staff. The golf carts were a bonus taking us wherever we needed on the grounds just a phone call away. Waiting for a golf cart is up to 8 minute wait, but mostly around 4-5 minutes. The golf cart drivers are truly themselves, personable and happy to spot wildlife to show you. Our room was a dream with our own private thermal system pool surrounded by the lush rainforest. The tented camps are very private and secluded, giving you the perfect relaxation vibe. The restaurants were all 5 stars with our favorites being Nostalgia, Ayla and Amor Loco. Nostalgia is perfect for a date night and we highly recommend the wine pairing which was the highlight of our food and drink experience. Ayla surprised us being on of our favorites for breakfast and local food. Amor Loco gave jazz club vibes and served delicious Italian dishes. The wait staff was outstanding and gave great recommendations for food. The public thermal pools were also very private, with a variety of pool options. It was great having the Lapas bar connected to the cooler pool and the thermal pools all within a path away to hop between. At this time of year, a few of restaurants (fine dining, ice cream store) and the swim up pool (Cielito Lindo) were closed for reconstruction. They had some excellent icecream at other restaurants so we didn’t miss out there. The Sukha Spa was serene, relaxing and perfect to do with your partner. We did the Nayara Signature experience and we enjoyed it. I did feel as though my massage therapist rushed a little but my husband’s massage was thorough with great pressure. I recommend thinking about what you would like them to focus on body part wise before going in so you can tell them where you would like to be massaged. All the products smelled amazing and you’ll probably fall asleep during from being so relaxed. We highly recommend doing the bridges and La Fortuna waterfall tour. Our tour guide Hansel was so knowledgeable and had great photography skills. We got the best shots of the animals and if we didn’t have his guidance, we would have missed a lot of the wildlife. It is 500 step to get down to the waterfall, so wear your hiking boots and take your time. We were in awe of the waterfall and it was an extra treat to be able to swim in it. They do have areas to change prior to going down and showers so bringing a swim suit and a change of clothes after is no problem. Overall, we had the best experience and the people made it all the better with great hospitality. We cannot recommend this resort enough. We are already planning our next vacation to Nayara Tented Camps.

Nayara Tented Camp is absolutely unmatched. The quality of service, attention to detail and the property/rooms are absolutely incredible. We greatly appreciated them helping to celebrate our 11-year wedding anniversary with champagne, a kind note, and rose petals in our tent. When we left, they also gave us a sweet sloth stuffed animal to bring home to our daughter. Tana, our guest services manager was amazing and extremely kind as well as the waiters/waitresses, golf cart drivers, and pool attendants. It's located in a great location with close proximity to La Fortuna and adventure activities. The heated thermal plunge pool and the other pool/ thermal hot springs on the property were incredibly relaxing and the perfect temperature. My only regret is not staying longer! I will forever recommend this hotel to friends, family, and clients. Thank you, Nayara for an amazing stay!!

Loved every minute of our stay there. Lots to do around the area. We tried waterfall, hanging bridges, and the ATV tour. We werent able to do the zip lining and rafting but heard those were great activities. The hotel staff helped us with everything. This is truly a five star experience.

Breakfast on the patio by the room's private pool was a highlight. Staff was so amazing. The maid took incredible care of us focusing on details in a kind way. The animals on the property were amazing as the guides could find them. Going during the rainy season, we had private tours on the beautiful 34 acre property.

Amazing! So romantic. The tented room with the volcano view and private view was breathtaking and cozy. You can even have your meals right from your private deck. The staff is phenomenal, so kind and accommodating. We came here to rest and relax but were able to easily fit in a couple adventures very close by.

I cannot say enough about Nayara Tented Camp. We went here to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We stayed at their sister property on our honeymoon. I have never felt so positive about a hotel. The staff was amazing- so kind and helpful. The frog tour was fun and the different activities onsite were really enjoyable. The food was outstanding- they have a lot of different options and you can even eat healthy. The drinks were always delicious and had so many fresh ingredients. Our room was perfectly designed and had a pristine view of the volcano. The private plunge pool was a joy to relax in after hiking or activities. The property itself is so lovely everywhere you go. The hot spring pools were a dream- hardly anyone there and we had a pool to ourself most of the time. It is a little pricey but it is so worth it. I cannot recommend this place enough. Book it!

My husband and I loved Nayara! We will be back again. It’s a 10/10 for sure.

Best hotel/ resort I have ever stayed at. The experience was top notch from the resort, amenities, service, and complimentary activities. From Ariel’s warm reception at check in, Jason who helped us with our bags and showed us sloths and other wildlife on a golf cart the next day, to Veronica at Sukha spa, we experienced exceptional service from the staff at Nayara Tented Camp. The room was massive with a private plunge pool in our patio to outdoor and indoor rain showers. The breakfast and dinner at Ayla were exceptional. For the breakfast, there was both a buffet and ala carte. I would also recommend getting breakfast at your room a morning where it is laid out in front of the patio. For dinner, we would highly recommend the tuna carpaccio and lamb chops. The lunch at La Terraza was very good. Cerviche was excellent and typical casado with beef was very good. We also loved the espresso martini at Mi Cafecito and the mango and local fruit ice cream at Lyla’s were amazing. The Nostalgia Wine bar is also a unique and wonderful experience. There is a self-serve dispenser of a variety of wines that you can sample or get half or full glass. The Sukha spa was another great experience at Nayara. The coffee scrub was exactly what I needed for my skin. The Swedish massage was relaxing and I fell asleep for a short but. As a testament to Nayara’s commitment to an exceptional experience, we also received a 20% discount for the noise caused by construction nearby. While it could heard if I listened for it, the experience was still top notch. The resort also has complimentary activities. We were pleasantly surprised to be able to take a painting class and brought a couple of paintings home. We will definitely be back!

The grounds were beautiful, the amenities were excellent and so were all the people/staff working there. Milena Aguilar took the reservation and also assisted in modifying the reservation to include 2 Nayara Tents. Her expertise and helpfulness was commendable. Milena also checked us in to the resort upon our arrival and was so pleasant and was obvious she cared very much about our stay with our friends to include a room walk-thru explaining all the amenities. She is a gem. Keren at the Lapas Bar and Ayla's is fantastic. Keren is very personable and our group enjoyed our interaction with her. She was very genuine and was nice to have as a server. We don't have other names specifically but would like to comment that the quality of the staff overall was top notch. All very good at what they do and seem genuinely happy with the employment there at Nayara while taking care of the customers staying there. The service and attention was very noticeable and commend management for going the extra mile to staff accordingly. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will be back!
