Little Gem Hotel Tulum La Veleta

Great location just 7min walk to town center. The hotel only has 9 rooms so its a great place to truly be able to relax in a pool not full of people. Staff member Dario was extremely helpful, was able to get us a great deal on a cenote tour as well as transportation. Will definitely return to this hotel.

Truly a “little gem.” We wanted a quiet space off the town center to return to after long days exploring, and we got it. It’s still walking distance to food and convenience stores, or a short bike to the main strip. It’s not a bad drive to the beach, but if you want to do tulum beach, stay in the hotel district; if you want to explore the city and travel to nearby cities, stay at Little Gem! Super friendly and accommodating staff; we were treated better here than any hotel I’ve stayed— even the resorts. Jose, especially, always made me feel welcome to ask any crazy questions, and the other gentlemen set up the pool for us, even though it was past hours and it was just us — very kind. The grounds and rooms are minimalist, but contemporary and beautiful. I love that it’s an eco hotel— they always asked when we wanted the room clean. Coffee, biscuits, bikes, and a return covid test in-house provided. I will definitely stay at Little Gem again if I’m in Tulum.

My stay at Little Gem was FANTASTIC. I will absolutely be back. The outdoor setting is serene, sparkling clean and the pool is perfect. The room comes stocked with snacks, and they are exceptionally relaxed about cleaning your room around your schedule. They have all the bases covered including a COVID test available if you're from the US.

They have all the bases covered including a COVID test available if you're from the US. The room I stayed in had a beautiful indoor tub, and the outdoor patio space is perfect. The neighborhood is developing, but has many great places to eat and is very close to Tulum Ave. The best part of this trip by far was the hotel staff. They made my stay extremely special: I want to give a special thanks to Jose who gave incredible recommendations about everything, about where to go, was incredibly attentive and fun. And Paty who made sure things ran very smoothly and helped me multiple times with some reservation issues with Expedia. Special thanks to Mayumy and Nestor for making my trip so memorable and helping me feel at home. I can't wait to come back to this incredible hotel.
