The Glenwood Hotel

The staff were friendly and helfpul; the tech was less good - tv didn't work, the wifi didn't connect and the electricity supply struggled.

Very good value for the price. Clean and tidy, comfortable bed. Not luxury but a great budget option.

The staff were really nice and let us leave our bags in the staff office before we checked in. The hotel's shared spaces seemed clean, but we didn't really use them. However, the room was unclean - with marks on the sheets and on the carpet, there was an empty crisp packet under the bed and other rubbish that hadn't been cleared. There was a tiny window, which meant the room was hot. The door was very flimsy and I didn't feel particularly safe in there. The walls are very thin and you can hear very clearly the rooms around you and people walking through the hall. The bathroom also didn't feel particularly clean and we were only given one towel even though we specified there were two people staying. It would've been fine if it had been cheaper, but it wasn't worth the money we paid. I'm not usually someone to complain in a review, but it fell below most of our expectations for hotel rooms.

It was fine but overpriced for what it was - £100 for a very basic family room. No bath plug, 1 hanger in the wardrobe. No WiFi in bedrooms. Everything a bit tired. But the staff were nice and friendly.
