The employee who checked us in was very nice and professional. He was was apologetic when we had a room issue. The breakfast was good, but there were many people there, so the poor employee was struggling to keep it all stocked. The yogurt machine is a great addition, but she said it took a long time to refill, so that wasn’t available one morning. The selection was good- hot items: eggs, sausage and bacon, and waffles; cold items- applesauce cups, yogurt, cereal, breads and pastries (these were consistently low in stock though). They listed the breakfast items on a blackboard by the elevator- that’s a nice touch! There’s a pool but we didn’t use it. Also they have an agreement with the work out facility in the same strip mall, so you can get day passes for free- that is fantastic! The location is perfect: close to the highway and also to shopping and restaurants.

The initial room we had was awful. We opened the door to a strong cigar scent. Entering further- the beds were made, but the bathroom had a cigar balanced on the sink edge and cigar butts floating in the toilet. It was disgusting. The front desk staff apologized and gave us a renew room. He did say they’d discount our stay because if the inconvenience, but that didn’t show on our bill at check out. The ‘new’ room was better- clean and the bed was comfortable. The a/c rattled, but with the short stay, we dealt with it. We didn’t use the dresser, but it looked like someone had spilled something in the drawers and they were basically ruined! That piece needs to be replaced.

The decor is definitely dated—the color scheme consists of browns, oranges, & golds—and everything seems clean enough. The price reflects this. Otherwise, the front desk staff and breakfast staff were all very friendly. I only stayed here one night and only because everything in my daughter’s college town (35 minutes away) was booked. It’s not awful, it just seems…overlooked.

It was conveniently located but far enough from the highway to avoid traffic noise. There were 5 chain restaurants within walking distance. Beds were very comfortable.
