Courtyard by Marriott Beaumont

I am a female traveling alone and did not feel safe. The first room I was put in was occupied. The second room smelled terribly of mold. The hotel agreed to reimburse me but expeida has not yet.

This hotel is in terrible need of a makeover. My bathroom door won’t completely open. Toilet paper holder rusted out. Lights on elevator don’t work. The gal at the front desk has no idea how to work the computer, much less print out a receipt. She doesn’t speak barely any English. I feel sorry for her. She needs to work, but that position is not the position for her until she is trained properly. Will not be staying at this hotel again. It’s back to Hilton properties for me in the Beaumont area.

I use to live in Beaumont, I always stay at the Elegante, never again I’ll always come back to the Courtyard!!!

Walked into the room and it smells like strong mildew.

Property and staff were great. Bed was not very comfortable

I was really surprised to find a Courtyard hotel in this bad of shape. The ceiling in the room was pouring water. The room smelled of musk and dirty. So we were placed in a room without all of the amenities and when you looked outside the window it was a dirty back yard with pallets and stuff stacked at the wall. We also stayed the night before at this same hotel and our room was dirty, blood on the carpet, hardly any towels and washcloths. The curtains were ripped and coming down. All in all a very nasty Courtyard hotel.

I travel frequently and try to give each facility the benefit of the doubt. However, while the staff were exceptionally nice and helpful, the actual facilities were run down. It was obvious that the owner had taken the lowest bid possible when trying to update the hotel. There is mold/mildew, broken or faulty plugs, water leakage marks and random bad construction.

Good location.

I hate writing bad reviews. …on the plus side…the staff was wonderful…friendly and accommodating… ..BUT…this property was a disaster…shabby, cheap, and dysfunctional…we had to take the lid off the toilet every time we used it to reset the fill mechanism…there were cracks in the plaster, lighting was terrible…shower had gaps that allowed water to run all over the floor…balcony was over a dumpster…grounds were in total disrepair and the morning breakfast was non-existent…we had to ask for coffee every morning (that should have been AT LEAST a small amenity!) Marriot should be ashamed…I booked the room assuming it would be reliable because it was a Marriot property…apparently this brand is going downhill… The only thing that kept us from moving was the the fact that I had prepaid for the reservation!
