Courtyard by Marriott San Diego Carlsbad

The staff was fantastic, helpful, kind and happy to answer any questions! It was also and easy walk from the Carlsbad airport and the location was top notch!

My room was very basic and loud. I could hear every step of the people above me, every voice from the people next to me.

It was okay. Room was a good size. Location was okay for a wedding I was working over the weekend.

Room smelled like old dirty socks. We asked to change rooms, none available. Maintenance came by and changed out a very dirty black filter. Changing the filter did not help the smell much.

Great location! Clean and comfortable! Lavinia at the front desk was so welcoming. Definitely recommend for anyone staying in the vicinity!

Came here for a short trip to attend a wedding and the courtyard did not disappoint. The rooms were uodated and quite modern, and everything was very clean. Amenities were great too, and the heated outdoor pool was a nice touch. My only complaint is that the pillows were pretty uncomfortable and by the end of the night, would get really flat. What really stood out for me during our stay was the outstanding customer service upon our check in by Delia. She explained all the amenities the hotel had to offer very thoroughly, and she was very welcoming and personable. She saw my daughter was with me and even gave her a little treat. To top it all off, she followed up with us to make sure everything in our room was up to par (which it was), and if we needed anything else. 4 stars for the hotel but definitely 5 stars for Delia alone.

I've been coming to this Courtyard for quite some time now. I've watched it change from such a small little Lobby too and beautiful seating area and a restaurant. DELIA assisted me last night and was the best. It's not every day you get a phone call from the lobby where they are asking if I need anything and is my visit okay. The service continued when I needed ice cream LOL she showed me everything that she had and I knew there was ice cream cuz I called prior to our stay and the gentleman that answered assured me I wouldn't be disappointed with their selection. I was able to meet Megan at the front desk and she gave me one of a kind service and gave my nephew a peek into their Treasure Chest where he got a glow ball that has not left his hands. We travel a lot and service is very important to me I will continue to come here and I will be talking about this Courtyard all the time when I have friends and family here visiting or in the area. Location fine. Handicap parking close.

Hot or warm water in the sink would have been nice, but all we could get was a trickle of cool water. The place was half furnished. AND the elevator was not working. Only a sorry sign with no info about getting to the first floor.

I had a wonderful experience during my stay at Courtyard Carlsbad. Aubrey gave a warm and friendly welcome at check-in, making the arrival process smooth and pleasant. Big thanks to Mariana at the Bistro as well her service was absolutely amazing! She was attentive, kind and made sure everything was perfect. Great staff and overall a great stay. Highly recommend!

This place was amazing from the check in with Aubrey and Zach their warm welcome made me feel right at home. Rooms are nice and clean the bartender was nice and attentive. I enjoyed my stay at this Courtyard.

Nice and very quiet location, the check in was like a breeze by Zach, Aubrey and Zach customer service was outstanding. We definitely recommend this beautiful hotel for all our friends and families.

I stayed at Marriott Carlsbad for just one night. The reception staff were accommodating and check-in was smooth. The room was spacious and comfortable — no complaints there. One minor downside was the gym. It felt a bit stuffy, and I couldn’t find a way to open it up for fresh air. A big plus for long-term travelers like myself (2.5 weeks on the road) was the self-service laundry. The machines were easy to use via app payment, and a full wash-and-dry cycle cost around $6.50 — super practical and appreciated. Overall, a convenient and comfortable stop.
