Hyatt Centric Downtown Portland

Little disappointed based on the photos. The room and main entryway are modern, but a lot of the hotel feels dated. The elevators are slow and unresponsive to key cards, hallways feel like a motel, minimal amenities. The elevators are so noisy you'll hear them in your room throughout the night, sounded like thunder. Was a serviceable stay but don't think I would return my next trip to Portland.

Very well run hotel that has consistently retained the same employees for a long period of time. It’s rare for me to show up to the hotel and already know who is working, months, and years ahead of time. But the management and staff of this hotel have consistently brought my business back ever since I first stayed here, best hotel by far when you include the globalist free breakfast and the world of Hyatt rewards points. 10 out of 10 highly recommend.

We had a great experience at the Hyatt Centric in Portland! We were given a room upgrade (unprompted) and the extra space was super appreciated! The room was clean, well designed, and comfortable. The hotel is a stone’s throw from great coffee, ramen, pizza, and a Whole Foods so our family had everything we needed. Would love to stay here again and explore more Hyatt Centrics as well!

Excellent property with great staff. The restaurant offers a great breakfast that’s truly worth a visit in a city of many great options.

The location was excellent, and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was modern and well-designed, making for a pleasant and restful stay overall.

The bare concrete floors made the room feel a bit cold and unfinished. The lobby had an overpowering perfume scent, and the bar snacks were quite limited. The biggest disappointment was the parking, quoted at $55 but charged $68 due to “dynamic pricing.” It felt unfair, so I wouldn’t stay here again despite the otherwise nice experience.

I loved this hotel. It was the perfect base for exploring NW Oregon for a few days. Breakfast was wonderful and the lattes delicious. My room was comfortable, clean, and nicely decorated. Everyone I encountered was kind and friendly- valets, reception, and folks working in the restaurant. I would certainly stay here again next time I visit Portland!
