"Staff great, room not"

Cleaning needs serious attention. A dirty tissue was lying on the floor by the bed and the bathroom cleaning was cursory at best. The room was tired, damaged and in need of refurbishment.

"A comfortable stopover night with amazing views!"

An overnight stay to break up a longer journey. Apart from the fully expected hum of motorway traffic staying at the service station hotel, the hotel itself was incredibly quiet (despite having lots of guests). The bed was very comfy, the receptionist was friendly and check in was very quick. The room was better than expected, looking modern and had everything needed, kettle, condiments, hairdryer, TV etc. The closeness of the service station itself was perfect (like 20 steps) but we didn’t need it as we had everything we needed. The highlight was definitely the views of the rolling hills here in Scotland. So, for what we needed, a bed for the night, the hotel exceeded our expectations and would happily recommend and stay again if needed.

"Great value hotel with lovely views"

I love this hotel in the hills. It's so convenient to start or end a long trip up to further away bits of Scotland. The rooms are clean, spacious and very comfortable and the views are stunning across the fields and hills. It's very quiet and has all I need. It's terrific value. Book direct with them and you get free parking!

"Passing visit"

Great welcome from a friendly team member. The hotel has had some work done to it since I was last there. Was much needed and great to see the carpets finally changed and new curtains without holes in. Breakfast next door was good and perfect stop for journey
