Howard Johnson by Wyndham Toronto Downtown West

I didn't like that there was lots of homeless people in the area.

I’ve been to this hotel a few times. It’s a good place to stay after concerts.

Came in late and bathroom was flooded, room wasn’t clean, looked nothing like pictures advertised, quite small

Horrible. Smelled like cigarettes all throughout the building. The AC was set on a timer so it was boiling hot the whole time I stayed there. The staff were rude. In the middle of the night a random person started banging on all the doors terrorizing us. Don’t recommend

First day we checked into this pigsty didn’t go well. The manager was very unprofessional and did not reason by any means. When I booked with Expedia for the this place it asked how old my kids were and how many adults. My daughter was 17 so Expedia labelled her as a kid and when I spoke with the manager he got defensive and said she’s an adult not a child and I said well if you have an issue deal with Expedia not me it’s not my problem they label 17 and under “kids”. Then upon entering our room the floors were filthy like they haven’t been washed in quite some time, they had glitter confetti all over the made bed and sofa bed and floor. There was blood on one of the fresh towels (when finding this I went to address the issue and there was no hotel staff in sight) we did not use the sofa bed the first couple nights. I wrote a bad first impression review and the next day the manager printed off my review and approached me and he was clearly upset and denied that his facilities were bad and said no and turned away. It was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL of him doing that. He could have handled it way better. And within the next day we started to use the sofa bed and upon checking the bed there was an opened condom wrapper under the sofa bed and was very dirty. I can guarantee I will never go to a Howard Johnson ever again. Not because of the cleanliness part but solely because of the managers actions and behaviour towards my family and I.

The staff is great, the check in was quick and they even got my early. But other than that this place is absolutely disgusting. It's worn down, it's old, a centipede came crawling out of my bed as i rolled the sheets back! This building needs to be torn down, I never thought a howard johnson would be this bad.

Hotel was comfortable and clean. The rooms are dated and small yes but for the price it was exactly what we needed. Somewhere to sleep. Staff was friendly as well. All in all good budget stay.

I found sorry underwear under my bed and our friends light didn’t work

The property was not well maintained and had a lot of young men hanging around the building which made for a very unwelcoming feeling. The room was small with two beds but nowhere to sit at all (chairs).

Real disappointment that there was only stairs. But great food close!!!
