The Surin Phuket

This is our second visit to this beautiful beachfront resort. Located on a private and quiet Pansea beach it’s a bliss to be staying here. Resort itself sits on top of a hill facing the Andaman sea with many huts to choose from and they’re all sea facing. Staffs are attentive and friendly. The breakfast is great although not many varieties unlike other major 5* hotels. Maybe because it’s only has 109 rooms. Nonetheless the food is great especially the Thai food. It has a gym, spa, souvenir shop, pool and water activities. We got no chance to swim and do water activities as it’s raining with strong sea currents. Located on top of the hill the spa is a must visit! Outside at the main road you can find many restaurants, shops, convenient store and massage parlours. This resort is highly recommended and we can’t wait to come here again.

A wonderful escape from busy Phuket with an amazing pool and private beach it is a real Island experience. One of the best buffet/a la carte breakfasts you can imagine. From the first welcome the staff are so friendly and helpful. Amazing

We stayed as a family from August 11 to 16 and really enjoyed our time at this beautiful hotel. The setting is stunning, perfectly blended with nature, and the staff are very warm and welcoming. The highlight for us was the gorgeous beach, which we truly loved. Unfortunately, the heavy rain during our stay affected our experience a little, but in sunny weather this place must be absolutely perfect.

Brilliant hotel, beautiful well maintained beach, large rooms with everything you need and more, great staff around the hotel and at the various bars and restaurants, excellent and varied food. Would highly recommend.

The Surin was over twice the cost of the other hotels we stayed at in Thailand, and it turned out to be quite disappointing. The whole place is very dated. This is not a five a star hotel. It is more of a three or four star that is still charging the price of five. Some of the issues we had. 1) The windows would not shut all the way. Since it was very windy we had dust coming into our room non-stop. 2) Mold. There was mold on our shower door that had been calked over so unable to clean. 3) Our blinds had bug damage on them 4) The stairs are no joke. The amount of stairs at this property make it burdensome to go from one part of the resort to the other. The resort maps are misleading, you can not avoid the stairs no matter what room you book. Do not book if you have children or seniors in your group. This is not a family friendly resort. 5) There is no AC in the main building. (where you have breakfast every morning and where you check in etc.) That means bugs will be flying into your food. It can be hot even in early morning. Then they will expect you to dine with open doors so warm air is bombarding you non-stop during breakfast. Also cutlery and plates are dated. Plates for breakfast were chipped and cracked. 6) I understand that not everyone on staff speaks English, and it’s unfair to expect them to. However, when they encounter a question they don’t understand, they should refer it to someone who can, rather than providing incorrect information Some of the positives aspects of the hotel is that they were not stingy with water, and they provided a three bed layout which was difficult to find. They had a private beach which was not overcrowded.

Suppose to be the best beach the best sea but too big wave . No chance for kids to swim there. Not good to visit the hotel this time of the year. No information about the Big wave.

Not good for kids. Too many stairs. No kids club. Too difficult to walk from the room to the beach. When we can not swim in the sea due to the big wave, no place for our kids Swimming pool too small with too many guests

We lucked out in the rainy season and had 4 sunny days at this beautiful resort. The food was fresh and tasty. The rooms and facilities are so clean, luxurious, and stylish. A memorable family experience for sure!

very comfortable and beautiful hotel/resort . Personnel very professional and care every details . Pansea beach well kept and basically the best beach in Phuket . Room very comfortable, clean with amazing view on the Ocean and beach. Food and Cocktail with high quality and reasonable price

Everthing Except the last goodbye

While we were checking out, and paying for the extras from the minibar, the lady in charge asked me to pay the wine we ordered from room service the night before ( which was already added to the list) . I explained the situation. She sent someone to the room and 5 minutes later she showed me a photo of 2 bottles of wine, saying, "You've drunk two bottles!" I had to explain that neither the room was cleaned or the minibar was checked that day (due to late checkout). there weren't two bottles in the minibar anyway. Finally she managed to understand but it was too late.
