Motel 6-Waterloo, IA - Crossroads Mall - Cedar Falls

Random 20 cash deposit not mentioned on the website was odd, the Floors were filthy, mold in the bathroom, drunk couple whom apear to be living there were fighting in the hall at 1 am, and there dog barked continuously, beds were hard blankets were thin tho that may be a matter of preference.. back security door didn't latch. My standards are not very high and this was pretty bad. Looks like the just put electrical tape over anything that breaks. Lol, A quik swiffer over the laminate floors would be an upgrade. However the staff was helpful and freandley, it was a cheap bed and a shower and that's what I was looking for.. cleaner and quiter would have been nice

The hotel looks much better online than reality. It is in really tough condition. The pool has a haze like it hasn’t been functional for a year. My room did not have any linens. The smoke detector beeped all night. There was a dead mouse on one of the wall ways outside that has been there for a long time, can’t believe no one got rid of it.

Doors don’t shut right, the door to use your card on to get back into building didn’t shut, we had a none smoking room the blanket had 2 burnt holes on them. No pictures on walls, no coffee maker, no shampoo or other bathing items , the pool was not working daughter was upset about that ,

The hotel smells of smoke and mildew, there are questionable people on the premises, in the halls and hanging out in the parking lot and lobby all hours. But the worst part is they have BED BUGS!!! My brother took several videos to show the manager. I also asked her to please come to the room so she could see them herself but she refused. I wanted a refund but she said that she does not have that authority and I would have to speak with the owner. After waiting for 45 minutes she finally got a hold of the Owner. He was extremely rude and informed me they do not have bed bugs and they would not refund my money. I had to argue with him for ten minutes to get corporate’s phone number !

When we walked in the whole front area smelled of smoke. Walking through it never got better We had two rooms one og the rooms lights did not work and there were cigarette burns on the top blanket. The while room smelled an ashtray. I have 2 chilren that are extremely allergic to smoke

Close to Lost Island

Pool was closed. The TV barely worked unless the remote was in a certain spot. Cleaning staff never came by after we left the first night. Came back to no clean towels.

Woke up to roaches in the bedroom and restroom. Told the staff and he stayed. I brought them to the hotel. No way and how my husband was talked to when he confronted the staff was not ok Very poor customer service
