Holiday Inn Express & Suites Topeka West I-70 Wanamaker by IHG

Location is good lots of food options and shopping near by. Breakfast was good and the dining area is nice and clean. The staff was friendly. Our room had some maintenance issues. The shower leaked into the room space. Floor was wet around our chairs with what appeared to be mold. There were cracks all over the walls. The PTAC had a smell. The floor could have been cleaned a lot better.

The bed was comfortable and the shower was clean. Restaurants close by.

Breakfast at 6:30, including coffee. I was traveling through and would have been nice if the was a grind and brew machine like the other HIE have. I left the facility at 5 am to beat traffic.

The hotel is conveniently located off the highway but a disappointment for a Holiday Inn Express. The rooms were dated, bathroom door in bad shape, the hook torn off. The breakfast was quite lackluster. And the overhead fan made such a loud clicking sound, it was unusable.

The place needs updating. I wanted to leave early, 3 am to get an early start. The was no coffee. They need to invest in a new grind N brew coffee machine like other facilities have.

Plumbing. Very low water pressure.

Security Breech!!! We were given cards to someone else’s room - NEVER in 40 years of extensive traveling have I had this happen - appalled l!!

Dirty unkept smells really, really bad. They’re trying to cover up the smell with deodorizer, but it just makes the smell worse.I don’t know who’s writing good reviews on this place but clearly the fix is in.
