Holiday Inn Express & Suites Topeka West I-70 Wanamaker by IHG

We stayed here recently for our wedding. We organized a wedding block and were very clear what the block was for and were sent a link by the hotel which they titled with our last names and “wedding” that we sent to other people using the block. When we got to the hotel they said none of our rooms were near each other because they “didn’t realize it was for a wedding”. Obviously they made some other mistake and just didn’t want to take accountability. Would not recommend using this place for a wedding block. Very disappointed in the service here.

Property was well maintained, staff was nice.

The property is in a great location near everything. The best were comfortable, but as always, the pillows are not the greatest. That’s my fault, I forgot to bring my pillow from home. My grandkids enjoyed the pool during our stay. The breakfast was good.

The rooms need a little bit more of an update or at least a paint job. The pool was not as clean. The patio door was open and the debris must’ve flew in.

Ceiling in the room over the shower was falling down. Noisy room close to the highway.

The breakfast was one of the best I’ve had in hotels!😊

We stay at IHG often. This is our first less than stellar booking. When we entered the room the TV did not work, called and help arrived. Hole in the back of the bathroom door. Tissue box only had 2 tissues. The pull tab to activate the shower was semi broken, had to work it a lot to get it to become a shower and not just water in the tub. No microwave in the room even though it was listed on the booking as there would be one in the room. Bedside dresser was falling off the wall, when opened the drawer it would not go back in until I lifted the entire table up and back toward the wall. Multiple stains on the ceiling. The buffet was excellent as usual The location was great with ease of access to the highway. We stayed in Room 204 June 18 Thank you. We hope these issues will be addressed before another client uses this room at this hotel.

The bathroom needed cleaning and updating. The carpet seemed dirty.
