The Niobrara Lodge

The staff was nice enough, I locked myself out of my room and the woman at the front desk was very understanding and replace my key card right away.

Not good value at all. The rooms are seriously dated. The tub and toilet might have been clean but it was impossible to tell because they were so stained and just looked disgusting. The sheets were literally see-through and the comforter was so thin it really couldn’t even be called a comforter. The continental breakfast was exceedingly basic and they didn’t even have lids for the coffee cups. This stuff would bother me a lot less if I had paid a bargain price, but I definitely didn’t. In my opinion, the room was worth less than a hundred dollars, and I paid almost twice that for my one-night stay. I’m not sure what the pricing is like for the other hotels in Valentine, but I have to imagine you’d be better off with the Quality Inn.

Breakfast had very few healthy options. Ice machine was gross. No coffee maker in room.

The clerk at checking was very helpful.

Worn down- pool and hot tub not heated- vacuum cleaner not ran down halls or steps- short staffed-

Location was nice. Room was large

Sheets were full of black pet hair on both beds. Lots of people hair on the bathroom floor. Room door didn’t lock when leaving the room.

Nice location. Good service. Somewhat dated facilities.
